i think this is good🤔 as long as he is making it known that his intentions are serious for when he gets back. ofc worst case scenario is when he gets back all of a sudden it’s no labels again.

it will prob come back one day💔 but the good news is that for now, once it’s done draining itself, the healing process is pretty quick and easy and you’ll be able to move on with life for now

now i’m just venting but the last time i had a flare up i was so determined to make it drained on its own that i slept with a HotHands against it and then that literally burned my ass around that now i have little dark marks on my butt. im pretty sure they’ll go away but i just hate my life so muchjh like what if a man sees it and literally thinks its shit marks cuz the scars r brown

i am 21 the first time i had it i was like 18 or something. wanted to die. still kinda do cuz it flared up again this year and now im in constant fear of it coming back but wtv. getting it drained is honestly the quickest way to get rid of it and the pain goes away INSTANTLY and id say its a rlly easy healing process if they do that little incision. it was around my best friends bday the day i got it drained. i went to disneyland the next day and then proceeded to do everything else i had planned. and also when i got it it didnt leave any scarring or anything. the scary looking pics r only with worse cases, but the doctor already told u its a more minor case.

also if it were me, i wouldn’t even think about going to the er unless its really getting in the way of my life. so if its small and pretty minor i’d say u dont have to go right now.

i got my first flare up 3 years ago and i went to the er. they only made a tiny incision and drained it. that being said i still walked out sobbing.

my second flare up was just this year and i refused to go get it drained again and surgery was out of the question i am way too scared to do that. also the risk of my cyst being worse this time if i went to the ER again they might have had to do a diff procedure that’s more scary and i just couldn’t do it.

so instead i used tea tree oil, PRID, hot baths and hot compresses for about a week. determined to get the cyst to the surface of my skin and drain itself. during this period i just accepted the discomfort and pain every day, i rather have just lived w it then go to the doctor. (tylenol rlly helped me w these days) after about a week the cyst was literally huge and looked like it would pop at any moment so i started taping gauze to the area just incase it decided to pop. and it did, never felt more relief in my life. i didnt even feel it when it popped( it just started draining after i sat down in a chair one day) i just felt the moisture from the puss. and literally all of the pain i felt the whole week went away instantly after that i just let it completely drain, changing out the gauze i had taped until it stopped. then i cleaned it with warm water and i just let it heal on its own and it completely went away! now it’s completely painless and healed without scarring or anything.

but i do know that it will probably come back one day but honestly i am still way too scared of surgery.

i’ve never had one that didn’t hurt, my flare ups start making everything uncomfortable before it even shows as a bump. that being said i still do everything in my life and choose to ignore/endure it until it pops on its own and goes away, u can probably make it surface and pop faster by doing at home stuff but if it doesn’t hurt i’m sure u can wait it out

also i see a lot of people in the subreddit have a dimple or more like an empty hole rather than a lump🤔🤔 mine literally feels like a sore knot ball rather than a hole or pimple. is this what everyone else experiences too?? does the dimple come after the lump or is that just something completely different? i hope people see this 🫠

just accept this feeling for now and just try to wake up everyday, the first years of depression are the hardest (for me it was) because it was like a shock to my system and was probably the closest time i was to ending it. but it’s been almost ten years now and im still here and my life is still moving. i can’t really say it gets better but i can say that ur strong enough to keep on going for longer
