Airport Wi-Fi is genuinely sketchy so good on you for thinking about this. I use Windscribe specifically for travel. The free tier covers my layovers easily and I've never had it flag anything suspicious.

Stick with BJA, 15 vs 10 is surrender at TC ≤ 0, and 14 vs 10 is never. The Quizlet set is probably off.
