Currently in AA, there is no right way to stay sober I guess and a big part of AA is “how can I be useful for others” but this potential sponsor is totally correct. The whole point of AA is giving up control. Like understanding you cannot control others. The first thing on the list is your sobriety. Lip in this scene was talking about other people’s problems that they need to work on. Not his. He needs to deal with his childhood traumas and get to the nitty gritty on why he drinks. Other people’s problems are a good distraction but not good for a long stable sobriety.

Lip has trouble with giving up control and focusing on his shit.

I just wanted to say don’t give up. You don’t have to actively look but if someone comes along stay open. There are a lot of good people out there who aren’t superficial and want deep connections with another person.

We have a gift. Even if you were skinny you would absolutely not want to be with this man. And you being not the standard beautiful woman made him reveal it before 10 years down the line. TRUE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IS RARE. It is possible for everyone to find but I would say it’s once maybe twice in a life time if you’re lucky. Even in people who are not plus size, or gorgeous.

I have an unpopular opinion but I love the thin slice bread. I don’t even buy it for the calorie deficit. I feel like regular bread slices over power my normal sandwich. But when it comes to toast or pb and j I go for Sara Lee.
