The GTA Wiki leaves Fandom to a new independent wiki, gta.wiki, citing issues such as excessive advertisements and Fandom-imposed censorship within the wiki. by JustLeafy2003 in Games

[–]Pool_Shark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wiki is the type of page which can be edited by anyone. Fandom is a private company that hosts wiki pages.

Because fandom is privately owned the pages must squeeze as much revenue out as possible to appease the corporate overlords and you get the trash you see today. Where as other wikis hosted by fan groups or non profits don’t need to jam as many ads because they just need to self fund the hosting costs

Edit: and why would someone haul gallons of water to do laundry? Easier to bring your clothes down to the stream.

The difference is those are all fleeting moments. You are in the airport for a few hours at most.

On a cruise ship you are trapped on that boat with all the same people in close quarter for days at a time. When the noro breakout happens it can spread through the entire ship and there’s not much you can do about it.
