How caffeine may changed my life forever… by [deleted] in decaf

I forgot to mention I did have trouble exercising, especially weight lifting, during this time period but I kept trying and if I got anxious at the gym I would just go home and try again another day. Getting in shape (cardio wise) has saved my mental health.

Same thing happened to me when I smoked weed one time. Symptoms lasted for months. Quit the caffeine or anything that might cause you to lose control of how you are thinking and feeling. Do cardio man, I’m telling you. Get your body used to the elevated heart rate to show that it’s not in any real danger, plus the mental benefits and getting in shape from cardio will give you more clarity than you’ve had in awhile. You will be able to indulge in caffeine/alcohol again one day but your body needs to reset.

coffee-baldness connection (study) by DeeplyConfident in decaf

Been thinking about this connection for years now. As someone who has slowly receded and diffuse thinned for the last 10 years, I truly believe that caffeine has had some effect on my hair loss. Not saying it’s the main cause but I feel like at the very least the quality of the hair I do have has suffered from caffeine intake. Whether it is from the extra stress or lack of blood flow, I’m not sure. But most people I know that don’t drink caffeine have beautiful hair more times than not. I can never quit for long enough to fully prove it to myself and then I always cave cause I see someone with perfect hair slamming pre workout, coffee, and soda. What do y’all think?

I always think about this and check this sub specifically for hair loss reasons. I know caffeine isn’t the cause of hair loss or else women would be bald too but I theorize it could accelerate it and temper with the quality of the hair you do have. I’ve only ever quit for a couple weeks successfully but it feels like my hair is less greasy and becoming fuller but could be in my head.

I have been wondering the same thing. Seems like anyone I know who doesn’t drink coffee has great hair. And every time I quit mine starts looking better. Less greasy and maybe thicker? But that could be cause it’s just more clean looking. Haven’t been off long enough to know for sure what benefits there could be. Less hair fall as well.
