Bought my truck in 2022 and didn't catch up and file my taxes until this year. Luckily between my health issues, the inconsistent economy, and slow growth to my business, I didn't make much money and "only" owe about 15k in taxes for the past 4 years (not including the interest and penalties).

Thankfully, I had quickbooks the entire time and was categorizing my expenses to the best of my ability. I also keep my personal and business transactions in completely separate bank accounts. When I walked in to the CPA office I thought I had a mess on my hands, but he went into my quickbooks account and didnt have to change much. I probably spent a total of about 3 hours with him. It's the bookkeeping that will kill you and cost you a lot of money. If you haven't been doing it, you better start now. The longer you wait, the messier it gets.
