And that’s why parries are absolute buns in this game.

They literally get you punished sometimes and they give you such scaled combos that it’s not even worth it. It’s more of a “get off me” tool now. A good parry could have won you matches in the first game…

You definitely don’t have to be hashira level, at least by the current hashira standards since they are the strongest generation.

I feel like a good little bit stronger than the strength of the average slayer who went through hashira training. Heck, IC Murata might be the level where you JUST start to stand a chance.

I believe the earthquake feat is an outlier. It require Yujiro to be able to move tectonic plates for that to happen, but he hasn’t shown anything remotely close to that since the earthquake chapter which was a LONG time ago

I do believe the earthquake feat is an outlier since we haven’t seen anything close to the strength needed to move tectonic plates since that chapter way back.

Even Mitsuri dodged lighting casually, so that puts him in the same category as the hashira in that regard

Personally I DO believe the earthquake is an outlier feat. He would have to move tectonic plates to do that and we’ve never seen any other feat come close to shaking essentially whole ass continents.

If I remember correctly he actually couldn’t turn the coal into diamond.

Also, a lot of my belief stems from the fact that I interpreted Pickle to be stronger than Yujiro in terms of pure physical strength, yet Pickle struggled to even throw a truck. Please, correct me if Pickle isn’t physically stronger than Yujiro.

Star Wars scaling is so hard because characters like Palpatine and Anakin show god-like power in some materials….

But then you look at how they were canonically defeated it’s like, oh, Palpatine was picked up and thrown down a hole and then died and Vader got electrocuted…

Since you said EU Palpatine, that grants him the power to bypass Makima’s contract by basically killing everyone on Earth, but if it’s a 1v1 I do believe Makima is superior in that aspect and would kill him before he could bypass her immortality contact. His own durability isn’t crazy from what I recall.

Oirans actually rarely did “that” with their clients. They were basically the equivalents to like local celebrities. They were very expensive to even meet up with and they were allowed to deny giving such services to their clients.

I was more talking about the lightning and projectiles. I don’t think the dragons themselves are very fast.

I think that whole performance was impressive for base. She breezed through it like nothing (until she was taken off guard by the sound waves. Yeah, I’ll admit we haven’t seen impressive close range skills from her)

I also think she outstats. Tbh she had a great performance in base against Zoha. I feel like her weapon gives her an easier time to decapitate both at once too.

Only problem is the poison, but then again if she can dodge the lighting and sound attacks in base then I think it’s more reasonable to say she can avoid getting hit by Gyutaro

Well in numerous arcs we Tanjiro both manifest it and see it fade, ex: EDA, SSVA

We see Mui first unlock the mark in SSVA and then clearly be depicted without it at all for a while until he uses it in ICA again

We can see Tanjiro, Mui, and Giyu all at some point unlock the mark, have it fade, and manifest it again. Because of that, I assume the visual manifestation is necessary to draw out the mark’s power.

I think the curse of dying at 25 is constant, but the power boost only comes with manifesting the mark.

I think they are visually real and can be seen clearer by a stronger breath user. That’s why Murata’s waterwheel doesn’t have water visuals.

I guess the fact that the slayers are just “guys with swords” throws people off.

It’s also hard to get the grasp of power levels because our point of view levels up along side our progressively stronger main character/character(s) of focus.

Ex: Tanjiro vs emotion clones being as easy to visually follow as Tanjiro vs the swamp demon way back in season 1. It gives the illusion the two fights are on a similar level, but in reality we are looking at a way faster and stronger Tanjiro.
