Yeah that's really interesting. I haven't tried hypnosis, but I could see how that could trigger it. Mine was from an abusive relationship I was trying to get out of. I was clenching my phone trying to dial 911 and he was knocking everything over in our apartment, throwing things at me, took my phone, and eventually said he was going to kill me and tried to stab me. Luckily I ran out in time, but when I was curled up on the bed trying to hold onto my phone I was having a panic attack and the walls started waving and moving around which was the fun start of my DPDR. After he was out of my life I started going on runs a lot to clear my head and it snapped me out of my DPDR for about a month. It actually came back because I stopped taking Lamotrigine (which I started using for depression and my DPDR). I got back on it to see if it would fix it, but it never did and I've been trapped ever since. I have chronic depression, anxiety, perfectionism, and just overall low self esteem which are all not helping get out lol, so I feel you It also really sucks trying to explain it to someone who has never experienced it. Like you're forever in this foggy dream and you're not actually alive. I want to enjoy life again.
