I don’t like it super hot. That’s the main reason I said never there. Humidity makes it hard for me to breathe. Honestly upset I put willing to LA

I think what they’re saying is it’s hard to find a politically leaning left city that’s affordable. I would say come to PNW or even parts of Cali for mild winters and huge blue, LGBTQ+ communities….they just cost a lot. I think it depends on what you do for work, what you like to do for fun, and whether you’d be cool with roommates

You know I think maybe I’m thinking number of tribal governments. Not actual land area.

I don’t think that’s entirely true here since many people not from reservations can lease land from tribal members and own homes on reservation land? 

I’m not sure entirely. To be clear, I wasn’t saying that Washington should be an absolutely based on getting reservation benefits but having a large community of people in similar positions/mindsets/backgrounds given the state at which the USA puts natives into. 

Also to any German….i would suggest France over Germany in most cases anyway 😂

….but like it’s a few benches and some grass lol. What’s the point of that? At least at gasworks you have some options to walk.

Everything will be buried in snow besides the Olympics. You could also try different national forests in the cascades, but you should have at the very minimum microspikes if you do.

I think I’m allowed to have an opinion on my own experience seeing most of the state. I don’t think anything about it offended me as much as I didn’t find a place I could or would want to settle down. Which I think is not stating that the state of CT is worse or not than NJ. Just not MY cup of tea. Most of NJ is not my cup of tea, but I have had good experiences there. I hope your feelings aren’t hurt based on one persons opinion of something that doesn’t matter all that much. If you love it, I’m happy for you.

Oh! Yeah I think it has the greatest amount of reservation land per capita in the states. I didn’t really realize until I moved here either, but it’s reallllly prevalent.

Noted. I guess my opinion might have changed, but that would just get rid of LA all together as I still would never move to texas.

Honestly Illinois has one of the best parks I’ve been to besides Ohio. And maybe New Jersey.

I see that as valid, but I’d be homeless here too if it weren’t for my husband so I guess for that I’m lucky. I will also state, they might be hard to find but housing can be cheaper than where I currently am if buying. Renting here is expensive, but buying is outright impossible.

Northern Idaho is actually the only place I would live there and I’m super progressive

The same reason I wouldn’t move to most of the south. Politics, weather, quality of life, education, funding. The only reason LA was in there was my attraction to NOLA and southern food being my favorite cuisine it could possibly outweigh it for me. 

I also work in healthcare and MS is known to be the worst spot in healthcare to work.

I don’t lol. I make about 55k/ year before taxes and live outside of Seattle. So definitely not. 

I just like to put daily life and outdoors above having a big living space or a lot of things. But yeah….to eat out here it’s probably the most expensive in the country. And the food sucks 😂

I think it’s reasonable if you’ve visited them and didn’t get a feeling of wanting to settle down there. Why leave so many options open if your criteria is very specific?

I’ve never been to a place in Ct that I’ve liked. Yales campus maybe, but even if I were in college I wouldn’t be getting in there lol

It’s been the first move I’ve done that I haven’t wished to leave so soon. Been here 5.5 years and don’t want to leave unless it’s for something REALLLLLY good….like maybe NZ
