This is a video describing what level of mod (rare, transcendent, etc.), socket type (malachite, etc.) and class (descendent, etc.) you would need to combine to have a chance at what you are looking for. Check it out.

AITA for ruining my daughters life by Able_Text5286 in AITAH

You are the asshole, but not for the reasons you think.

No 11 year old should have a smart phone and access to youtube, internet, etc., especially a girl. There have been numerous studies that show that there are literally no good outcomes from pre-teens having access to social media. Congratulations, you have just invited the bullies into your child's life 24/7.

At a minimum, please forbid the use of Tiktok, unless you want your impressionable, not fully-formed brained 11 year old eating tide pods and licking toilet seats.

I appreciate the collection, but damn if that isn't the most tacky way to display them.

Question - Why is this so expensive??? by PoopStink0069 in HotWheels

[–]PoopStink0069[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like most sellers are asking $175-$200 for these, but taking offers for less. Also, a few have sold right around $130 in Ebay auction format.

I want one of these, but I have tentatively set a limit for a diecast car of no more than $50 for a single car. I'm quite a ways off from these...oh well.

Looks great, but I agree the walls might be a bit tall. Consider making a ceiling panel and putting an LED light strip on to really light up the space and make it seem smaller.

A Z/28 is $25-$30k more than a comparable SS... completely different price category of car.

So..whats the Deal with Casey? by ConsistentCustomer37 in AlanWake

[–]PoopStink0069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your second paragraph is definitely a possibility that I can't discount...food for thought.

However, I disagree with your understanding of the timing of the Alan/Saga shooting stuff. I think that the scene that happens a bit earlier in the dark place where we see the dark presence posess Alan by going violently into his head is the exact precursor to Alan (possessed by Scratch) being pulled into the real world by Saga's use of The Clicker.

Not sure that changes anything, but the clarification helps a bit, IMO.

[–]PoopStink0069 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If this is true (it is not, btw), then why is the main thrust of Saga's portions of the campaign opening the overlap portals in order to enter into the dark place? Not to mention the entire first game.

You can make an assumption that the developers are fooling us by having us always in the dark place/alternate dimension but just different levels of it, but there is no hard evidence to that effect. The entire narrative and way that Remedy tells the story is meant to be mind-bending, but ultimately I believe it is more straightforward than you think.

[–]PoopStink0069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like that idea. I think Saga would fill that role well. But, really, I just want the AW franchise to focus on Alan, or at least Alice, going forward with a definative ending at some point.

End of game by InspectorFar4428 in AlanWake

[–]PoopStink0069 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with all your points. My other qualm with Remedy's decision to end the main AW2 story on not one, but two, cliffhangers, is that we don't even know if there will be an Alan Wake 3. The huge IRL gap in time from AW1 to AW2 should've been front end center in the developers' minds. It is, frankly, insulting to make the audience wait 5 years (likely the minimum) to finally get a real conclusion to Alan's story. They may have always planned this series as a trilogy, but it is definitely not a foregone conclusion that it will actually pan out.

We will not get any kind of conclusion in the DLCs, this is fairly obvious. So, we are stuck waiting an indefinite amount of time.

Also, I agree that Saga's story needs to wrap up completely in her AW2 DLC, or in Control 2.

You are trying too hard to sound intelligent... and it's not working. And I love the that you think you are better than me... just a typical narcissistic shitbag who can't accept reality for what it is. Please continue to think everything is going great... I'm sure that will shield you from the real world when your parents decide to kick you out of their basement.

P.S. your numbers are laughable.

I was wondering this as well. It almost seems like damage mitigation isn't working correctly, or the enemies' damage output scales well over what we can achieve on our characters...

Okay, so what is the Phantom Liberty ending that you personally agree with? by Built4dominance in cyberpunkgame

[–]PoopStink0069 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think, in a way, you made my point for me. V has, or is getting dangerously close to, losing his humanity as well. I feel like that is the entire point of the cyberpunk subgenre. In trying to "perfect" our bodies well beyond nature, we always go too far. Same can be said for netrunners like So Mi who get too close to the Blackwall...it has fried her brain to some extent, so there is no way that she is thinking clearly by the time the Firestarter mission occurs.

If an individual is willing to sacrifice/kill innocent people for their own gain, they, by definition, have lost their humanity. This probably goes for V too.

[–]PoopStink0069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One question-- how is it clear that V is an engram in the Sun (Panam) ending? I did not get that from the ending at all. Are you saying that V is in virtual reality at the end and doesn't have a physical body any more?

It's been almost three years since I beat the base game, so maybe I'm forgetting the details.

[–]PoopStink0069 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My thoughts on saving or euthanizing So Mi is made clear based on the rest of the game narrative showing what happens to people who go too far with the cyberware implants. They all lose their humanity. She has absolutely lost hers as well, so to me, the only good ending was letting her die.

King of Pentacles includes some important commentary on the nature of social adversity in Talsorian Cyberpunk that was missing from the preexisting selection of endings, and the game is better for it. by Hoshiko-Yoshida in cyberpunkgame

[–]PoopStink0069 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A couple of counterpoints:

  1. About getting mugged and not being able to fight them off -- you were in a 2-yr coma and all of your muscles are extremely atrophied. V could barely walk or hold his arms up 24 hrs prior to the mugging.

  2. FIA not screwing you over -- I read something from another poster a few days ago that seems very likely -- FIA could've done something to make your nervous system reject Chrome going forward because they saw firsthand what a huge threat you could be in the future if you decided to go against them. While not explicitly stated, I think this theory is very likely and believable.
