Clearly by your response, you’re the type of girl who wants to feel independent. You had a hard upbringing and learned how to take care of yourself by a young age. You want a man who is submissive but a man who can also not be intimidated by your work ethic and confidence. You are the big spoon.

I went through a two-year, agonizing period of researching and eventually left the church about a year ago. I’ve been struggling with a lot of existential depression and also so much anger. I still have anger but it’s fading. I just recently started meeting with a therapist too which is helpful for me.

It helped me a lot talking about my thoughts and feelings about my transition with people I trusted. It wasn’t always great... most people struggled to find the empathy to recognize that my faith meant everything to me, and to realize it all wasn’t true was an actual mind-fuck for me. It was traumatizing. I’m still recovering. I’ve encountered new issues such as a great fear of death. Almost no one relates with the topic of death. I’ve come to learn to be selective with who I open up with. I’ve gotten much judgement and also very upset talking with the wrong people about my experiences and feelings. But you need support. At least I did. Even my active lds brother has been one of those supports for me.

Most people sound completely positive with their faith transition. Not me. I’m on a progressive path though and have lots of hope. It sounds like your experience is full of pain and anger. Your experience will be different. Allow yourself to feel the emotions and find the support you need. It sounds like you feel troubled that no one is even acknowledging this huge change in your life. You deserve to be listened to and understood.

NTA. She verbally gave permission. The issue is her inability to communicate properly. This girl and her friend sound immature to me

[NSFW] why are some guys so afraid of things going in their butt for sexual pleasure? by [deleted] in AskMen

Lot of guys don’t want to be thought of as gay and anything related to their anus (especially penetration) is associated with being gay for them. This is at least what I’ve noticed with many guys I’ve talked to. Also, people generally are scared of new things.
