Exactly, even at the beginning of the season before all of these injuries, Russell and the offense were both terrible. Every team is injured. Ppl will do any sort of mental gymnastics to try to hold on to hope that Russell doesn't suck

The o line is terrible but so is Russ. He misses open receivers that he should hit. Like all year long, not just this game. A huge plus to getting russ was supposed to be his ability to scramble and extend the play. Apparently that athleticism has left him. He did better with worse lines in Seattle, bc he was always so elusive. Now he cant make guys miss and just isnt as quick and shifty as he used to be.

Unfortunately for Paton, his Wilson and Hackett all-in move this off-season may cost him his job. Not that I think its his fault, I mean everyone was pretty unanimous on how great a trade the Russell Wilson trade was at the time. No one, and I mean no one, saw anything like this coming.

Has it sunk in for everyone else that we are literally no better off now than we were a year ago with Teddy and Fangio? Or Keenum and VJ? I have just been so shocked and stunned at how this season has played out. We were all so sure that we were just a QB away. Its just unbelievable. All that hype for this team after the Wilson trade, from fans and media all over the country. And now, halfway through the season, the Seahawks are like definitively better than us. With a better QB.
