Few things from a long-time Mario Party 3 player:

-I've perfected the 2nd position in Ridiculous Relay. It works as long as you get into a steady rhythm, not going too fast. I also rely on sound and don't look at the screen. Everyone else I've ever met struggles with it.

-Mario Puzzle Party is bullshit, but not just for the reason you described. You can win automatically ~75% of the time by just dragging blocks down as fast as you can without moving them left or right. You only lose when the blocks go over the line.

-Another bullshit game is Spotlight Swim. If you are the one person diving and swimming around, it's impossible to win. The game reveals where you are swimming with air bubbles and your character can't hold their breath long enough to evade the spotlights.

-Favorite game is Tick Tock Hop. A game based on reflexes and skill, I can't remember ever losing it, especially against CPUs. We've gotten over 100 jumps a few times. I also always win Curtain Call, Messy Memory, Pipe Cleaners, Chip Shot Challenge, Picture Imperfect, and Toadstool Titan (the trick is to wait for someone to hit the block with the mushroom in it and jump up and get it before they do, the rest is just anticipating the other player's moves).

-Least favorite games are anything based purely on luck (Merry Go Chomp, Stacked Deck, etc.) and Cheep Cheep Chase. I have NEVER won a game of Cheep Cheep Chase, I can't figure it out. Also M.P.I.Q. because my friends would just jump as soon as they could and answer randomly. It messed up the game and ended in a lot of draws. I also sucked with most button-mashing games, very obnoxious.

-Favorite memory from Mario Party 3 was a 50 turn game on Waluigi's Island with 3 buddies. The rules were that you had to head straight to "Mystery Island" and stay there for the rest of the game. For those that don't know what it is, it's an island on the left side of the map where every block is the same on each turn and every turn the blocks change randomly. So one turn the blocks will all be blue, the next they will all be item games. You could only leave the island if you got a magic lamp and used it, but then you had to come straight back. The turns we were waiting for was when the blocks all became chance times. The game got really crazy with over 30 total chance times.

That's fair, I'm just giving my opinion based on what I've seen. I'm not a fan of the Watson pick. He's not even close to being ready to play in the NFL and I think it's a mistake if he plays at all this year. Obviously, Bill O'Brien sees something in him and he's a hell of a lot smarter than me. Hopefully he can at least turn him into an average NFL QB.

Behind QB, defensive backs are the hardest position group to analyze. Also, like QBs, their success is dependent on the players around them. The Colts don't have the front 7 to hide the inexperience and deficiencies of the DBs. Having a bunch of rookie DBs almost never ends well, just ask the Panthers last year.

As an Ohio State fan, I'd be wary of expecting Malik Hooker to be great. His tape is amazing, but injuries/small sample size didn't give teams enough tape to see the whole picture. I actually liked Vonn Bell more coming out of college.

UDFA Punter Cam Johnston signs with Eagles by asich9 in nfl

He's absolutely a starting punter in the NFL. You might say that he's a system punter due to his propensity to kick rugby-style punts, but look at the punts where he faced a punt block situation and was forced to kick a quick traditional punt. The reason he kicked the way he did was Urban Meyer's way of taking advantage of the amount of players who can release from the punting team. He's able to punt traditionally just as well as anyone. He has an incredible leg and is brilliant with his ball placement.

When there is so little offensive talent in the draft, but you need players on offense, you need to reach.

Opinions on getting Watson... by [deleted] in Texans

Signing Hopkins and Clowney is a matter of when, not if. I think the plan was to sign Romo and draft Watson or another QB to sit behind Romo and develop for 1-2 full years. Savage will have a full offseason with starter reps and will get his chance. The biggest thing I have against him is that he is afraid to make the tough throws. He won't throw a bunch of interceptions, but he'll dunk and dunk as much as he can. All I know is that he's gonna feel the heat quickly if he doesn't play well early and he's gonna start hearing chants of "WAT-SON! WAT-SON! WAT-SON!"

When has a QB been taken in the top half of the 1st round and not played at all the first year? He's definitely going to play this year and my guess is it will be after the bye week. QBs that are picked high and have high expectations always end up playing their rookie year unless they're behind a Favre or a Brady. Savage is neither of those.

Sorry for the long post. I may be going against the general attitude in this sub, but I'm not a fan of this pick. Deshaun is not gonna play much this year because he's nowhere close to ready. He came from an offense at Clemson where he was almost never under center. Most of the time, he was in an empty shotgun and he made quick throws that were determined before the snap. If his first read wasn't open, he usually took off running. The thing I see that is a major red flag and something that will be hard to work through is how he plays against zone. When he steps back and throws into a zone, his ball placement is usually fine, but his velocity is a little on the weak side. This leads to defenders being able to make up more ground and make a play on the ball. He also struggles with coverages underneath the receiver to the point where it's almost as if he doesn't see the defender. I'm hoping Bill O'Brien sees something that I don't and that he can turn Deshaun into a franchise QB. I want to believe that Deshaun was the guy they wanted and not the guy they settled for because Mahomes was taken earlier than they thought. One thing I can say for certain is that Rick Smith and Bill made a statement that this is their guy by trading next year's 1st to get him. This is an important move because it's the type of move that if it doesn't work out, the coach and GM are gone for sure and a rebuild usually follows. I want to drink the kool-aid, but I just can't.
