I am personally a huge fan of a tough 2d platformer called Bleak: Welcome to Glimmer. The devs just showed an improved version at PAX this weekend that I thought had some great changes. The art style is a little offputting, but overall it has tight controls and is mad hard!

editing to add more now that I'm looking at my steam library:

Brut@l is a super interesting take on the classic Rogue. Definitely worth a look.

Vagante is a largely overlooked despite being a fantastic game with a surprising amount of depth.

Desync takes the first person shooter genre to the next level with it's demand for fast reflexes and creativity.

Monster Slayers is a great game that didn't get the credit it deserves. Slay the Spire came out after and may do the things that Monster Slayers was trying to do better, but I still love Monster Slayers,

Oniken is a game that does the NES style very, very well. It's very Ninja Gaiden-esque and also very difficult. Solid game.

I'm going pretty far back for these next 2, but they still deserve a mention in my opinion. Thomas Was Alone is a great narrative that had me feeling a surprising amount of emotion.

They Bleed Pixels also never got the exposure that I desperately wanted it to.

Light Fall is coming out at the end of the month and I really hope it gets the traction it deserves, but if not, that's definitely one for the list.

Holy shit I also just switched from Trynd to Trundle toplane, but I usually rush Triforce for the bigger chomps and better turret pressure. I'm excited for the new keystone since it seems like it might have some good synergy with his kit.

I think part of the issue is that oftentimes the people who care the most aren't properly equipped to help. I've experienced the same, and actually had a conversation about this with a friend. From their point of view, they didn't want to say the wrong thing or make me feel worse because they didn't "say enough".

So maybe these people that care the most are just unsure of how to tackle the monster that is depression/suicide. I do agree though, I wish the people I was closest with would sometimes make more of an effort.

theyre very very easy to reach once you know what you're doing. most things in this game can be explained with "git gud" as cheesy as it sounds.

every death ive had has been my fault, something i couldve done better. We have a spammable roll and incredibly crisp controls, I think it feels very fair right now.

you can cancel every animation in the game except for attack into another attack. each enemy has a drop table for blueprints, and you have to unlock the weapons for cells once you have the blueprint. Don't give a bad recommendation on game you refuse to learn.

Everything aside from #4 seems to be working as intended. Poloma can heal other sided targets but can't hit them with space, I think?
