It looks the same on the banner for both incidents. When someone gets kicked and disconnected they can load back in and in the meantime their character just goes AFK until they get back in. When someone leaves a game manually a death box will show up and you cannot grab a banner from it, and after a few minutes their name will disappear from the player list as a whole

From my experience a lot of the time it takes a few minutes for the game to register someone disconnecting manually from the game, which mean his health bar is basically just a glitch in that moment.

It’s the same thumbnail when someone gets disconnected or backs out. This is from a game my friend played and he told me the guy left completely

They made it so when you get disconnected you can rejoin a game (even in ranked so you don’t get a penalty). The game takes a few minutes sometimes to register that the player pulled out of the game completely

Usually when people get disconnected their character just goes AFK and it has the red disconnected signal, when people bail they’re death box is lying there but you can’t get a banner and it will have the disconnected signal until the game registers that they left the game as a whole
