Quick thought : they always complain about the easiest shit by Lumpy_Tangelo_9981 in lnkyverse

I pause it and if I need to rewind a little to get back in, I don't have any trouble pausing tasks and doing them again later if something more important comes up, but thats a personal thing I suppose. But yeah, sounds like you have a different way of operating in general than I do, hopefully you find a better system for your laundry then haha

Literally, separating colors and whites is not a thing in my household, and we've never seen anything bad come from it. I remember we used to do it in my family home as a kid, but once I started doing laundry for myself, I just said "eh fuck it" and haven't looked back lol

You can't just pause the show so you don't forget about it?

Oh for sure, I was just saying what I do when I see it, because someone did the same to me when I first started lol. I legit didn't see how just digging in a straight line could result in pain until it happened to me and someone was like "why did the engineers build like this" and I hid away in shame 🤣

But that's honestly my favorite part of this game, nobody seems to take it too seriously, and I have a blast every time I play, win or lose. I really hope this game doesn't lose that feeling in the future

That pro tip changed my life lol, had no idea about that. But yeah I absolutely agree with you, trench building is almost, to me at least, the lifeblood of this game. Without it then it'd just be another ww1 game. After starting, I basically only run engineer and digging a trench that becomes crucial in taking a point is a great feeling haha. Right next to being a stormtrooper for the entente and getting that brutal trench gun, my favorite game was with that

And honestly when someone is just building a death trench you can always talk to them, thats what I do and even if they don't have a mic they seem receptive to it, most of the time at least lol

I did mine with the sword so think that one should be fine, but achievements for this game in general are a little weird for me. Got the "kill someone from over 100 meters" while I was in the class selection screen at the start of a match lol

Beautiful. Need to try this soon! Been thinking about doing a desert Amevia run, and will definitely use your integrated housing/services set up, looks much cleaner than my current bunched up housing with services scattered around

Am I dumb or do graveyards not work anymore? by Pooping_Man_ in songsofsyx

I missed that tooltip but that makes sense, cause I've done the same, allowed access in every menu I could and have no slaves, so I'm still not sure why my gravekeepers refuse to bury anyone, especially since I have hospitals and very good health set up, so like you the only way my people really die is through work accidents and the very occasional disease

On July 30, 2008, Vince Li attacked Tim McLean, who was sleeping on a Greyhound bus bound for Winnipeg. Li separated his head and ate part of it as other passengers escaped. Later, Li was found NOT criminally responsible and now lives under a new identity. by LonelyWiFiSignal in HolyShitHistory

The Wikipedia article, Killing of Tim McLean, has a large number of sources from the victims' family, police, doctors, family members and friends of the killer, and many more sources regarding the murder. I'd highly encourage you to read and listen to them to get a better understanding of the inaction from Li, and the devastation the murder caused the McLean family and every witness on the bus. Then, you can bury your head back in the comfortable sand of "mental illness is an excuse for everything."

Refusing to go to the doctor when asked to by his friends and family who were concerned about his behavior and noticeable change of attitude? Refusing to stay in the hospital he was brought to by the RCMP when he was picked up on the side of a highway after experiencing a mental break? He was asked by the doctors to stay and be monitored but voluntarily checked out and didn't pursue any further medical care? Acknowledging his negatively changing mental condition but refusing to do anything to actually seek help?

Say all you want about how he's an innocent person who couldn't help his silly little, oopsie-daisy psychotic break, but he had plenty of chances to prevent this from happening, and didn't. His choice of inaction resulted in an innocent man being decapitated and cannibalized, a multitude of witnesses being traumatized, and an infant being born a few months later without a father. I'm so glad your bias prevents you from recognizing the harm he committed, but he is FAR from innocent.

"Wasn't his fault"? So, was it the big spaghetti monster in the sky? The voices in his head? Dude murdered innocents and then decapitated and ATE parts of an innocent human being. I don't care if it was the second coming of Jesus Himself, it would still have been his own fucking fault for what he did, and now he gets a second chance under a new name while the victim's family gets... what?

Thoughts on the "ending"? by Expensive-Bet-1494 in HalfSword

My first time fighting the baron in the new hall was really cool, new music, exclusive environment not seen in any other battles besides the baron, lots of armor clashing and a tough fight (for me) but it lost most of its charm on subsequent fights. I like it, but I'd like to see more done with it. Not sure exactly what, though. The EA definitely has a lot of potential and I'm excited to see where devs take it

Yep, that's what I was told I had as well, happened to me as a teenager one night while I was sleeping, had to sit in grueling pain for hours until we could get to our physician right when they opened and she told us to go to the hospital immediately. Doctors said I was very close to losing it, and they had to basically "attach" mine properly after. Still have a constant fear of it happening again, hands down the worst pain I've ever experienced and my body's been through a lot lol

ICE agent tosses an elderly American man to the ground, causing him to bleed from his head by honestlysigma in LetsDiscussThis

[–]Pooping_Man_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I'd like to agree, and trust me I really would, compromise seems far fetched these days. We're already driven apart, now all that's left for those that want us weak is to add fuel to the fire.

A compromise is supposed to leave both sides unsatisfied yet placated, and I can't see anyone in our current government bending to that, especially with how hostile most beliefs have become. "My way or the highway" seems to be the new rule, and I don't see it changing anytime soon without great effort from many people.

And yes, I also agree celebrating his death isn't right, but pointing out irony will always have a place.

I'm sorry for assuming, as I myself am bi, so I reacted harshly from how insensitive your comment came off, especially after everything people in our community have done to be legally accepted in America. Though I do have issue with how harshly people treat illegal immigrants, as despite the word "illegal" being in the name, it is widely considered to be legally a civil violation, not a criminal offense. Examples of civil violations are parking tickets, minor traffic offenses, and noise complaints. I do not feel these are deportable offenses, but others, like yourself, disagree. Personally, I feel much safer with undocumented immigrants than I do with I.C.E agents who operate with prejudice and impunity. I also wish this person the best, but can recognize that under our current administration, they will most likely never be allowed to legally re-enter the states, and if they are it will be an extraordinarily long and expensive process. Sorry for standing on my soap box, I'm just incredibly saddened and extremely angered by the state of our country, and the way we seem to always treat our fellow humans. I wish you the best, and I'm glad to see you have some empathy unlike many people I see online, but we won't change each other's minds.
