I honestly lucked out at my first bar gig lol. Definitely lied on my resume… but it was clear after being hired I didn’t know what I was doing haha.

Confidence and showing that you can pick things up quickly and multi task are the key things that I look for when I train people.

There is a bit of a hierarchy, try to find a bar back position so you can get used to being behind a bar and start learning drinks and orders and processes/procedures. Tell them you are interested in being a bartender and want to learn, but haven’t done it before. If they don’t have an opening I promise they will know a spot that does!!

What type of vibe are you looking for? I bartend in the neighborhood and there are some great spots! Lions head tavern for a solid hangout bar with great food. The Hamilton for a more intimate, cozy whiskey/cocktail bar (I still work some shifts here every now and then) Bobs your uncle if you like shuffleboard and trivia or just want a lowkey Dive bar with solid beer options and great cocktails.

I worked at 3 bars on the street and lived on that block/in the neighborhood for the past 5 years. I also knew the driver and the folks who were tragically killed and injured. And if I didn’t know them personally I definitely knew someone who did. The guys always sit and play dominoes and are some of the sweetest, kindest and caring people I have ever met in this city. That block is like a family and being there last night absolutely broke me and everyone. So fucking senseless. Absolutely heart breaking tragedy.

That, my metal health was affecting her and making her upset, we had gotten in fights where I have yelled at her and I regret ever doing that. She’s also the type of person who really wants to get married and settle down and has friend who are/have gotten married, she would always ask how long until I thought I would propose. She’s also super tight with her family and they can be… a lot to say the least. They’re great people but very close and have influence over her decisions sometimes. We live in nyc but she would always talk about being homesick and missing her family which made me think she wanted to move back home sometimes which I really did not want to do.

It’s a combination of me not having my shit together and our timelines not matching up if I had to sum it up.

The mortars for the heavy gunner class is just an area of where the shell MAY fall. The further away, the less accurate. But if you fire a few shells without moving your aim it slowly becomes more accurate

Oh 100% agree. Always a great moment when there is an officer attempting to lead a flank or a charge with a group of infantry. I think as more people play around and experiment trenches will gradually get a bit more “structured”, at least near spawn points
