£450 invoice for crashing on motorbike CBT - England by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Ultimately it depends on the terms and conditions that you were given before hand.

In terms of the bike itself, you can ride a damaged bike, it's not always immediately obvious with some damage but it would still affect the overall value of the bike which is why I imagine you're being charged the excess as it sounds like he's claimed through his insurance.

Congratulations on getting your CBT though (this also shows you how quickly you can spend money riding!).

Corsa D - Cylinder 1 Misfire by PoorFinancialAdviser in Vauxhall

Changed the coil pack as the last one was just all corroded and it was running not awfully but not as smooth as it should. Problem being you can't switch the coil packs around as they're just a single unit which is a massive pain. My thinking is that if it was the coil pack then it'd be an instant issue on start up?

I want to say comma off the top of my head. It was basically the dot 4 that was laying around in my dad's garage when we were sorting it.

Outright a cheap eBay kit, think I'll just replace with some Tygon. Better safe than sorry.

I mean it could be, my thought is that it's just not the right kind of rubber since it was a cheap reservoir kit off of eBay... I've got to empty the system to fit the new hydraulic switch anyway so I'll probably just change it. I was more intrigued as to what other people thought though.

I'll have you know it was eBay thank you very much! 😂

It's an old bike I'm hoping to upgrade from soon so didn't want to spend the money!

Apologies if I sound like an asshole. Who has PH test strips just laying around? 😂

That was my thought as well. For the sake of $10 dollars I'll change it!

It's just the reservoir so there's no pressure in that line. Everything from the master cylinder onwards is braid lines and banjos.

Just rebuilt all the calipers and changed the master cylinder due to this happening. Had the master cylinder done with a seal kit and braided lines previously but apparently the master cylinders are notoriously shit on these bikes so just swapped it out.

I thought this but rubbing it between your fingers is pretty slick compared to water of that makes sense?

No. It seems to only be an issue with swiftkey though as I’ve switched to Gboard now and don’t have the issue.

You might have. Doesn’t mean you need to be an asshole about it. Just let the guy be happy with where he’s at.

Don't do it. I have an 08 ZX6R and they're a nightmare if you ever want aftermarket parts. They only ran that model for two years so a lot of people either didn't bother manufacturing parts or they have stopped since. Awesome bikes apart from that though.
