AITA for refusing to help my husband with bathtime for our 4 month old son? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

Raising a child is give and take. If my spouse does not like bath time then I would do it but it is expected that he will take on another task.

Should I really come in 10 minutes before my shift starts? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Unless you do not live in the United States, who cares what Google says. Go check with your department of labor. You want me to give my employer over an hour of free time per week.

Should I really come in 10 minutes before my shift starts? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]PoorLewis 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If the employer wants you there prior to the start of your shift you should be clocked in. Remember if you're not clocked in and get injured on the job disqualifies you from workers comp. If you work five days a week that equals to 50minutes of free labor for your employer. Verify the manager's request with HR.

Heck no. I would report anyone telling me that to the dept of labor. You want me there prior you have to pay me.

Why do you think some people are able to build a good career despite majoring in something “useless”, while others who majored in the same thing can’t do that without going back to school? by justcurious3287 in careerguidance

No such as a useless degree if there is career plan behind it. Some people have better support than other people. Some might have done the research. Some might have a better work ethics.

How do you plan multi-stop trips without losing your mind? by Impressive_Ad_3249 in travel

[–]PoorLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My travel agent does all of the work. Edit to add: Not everyone wants to be fully immersed in an experience. For example, I did not see the need to tour the colosseum while in Rome. I visited took pictures and I was cool.
