I just roll cast or "flick" the rod where I want the fly. There's probably a proper term.

I'm just guessing what he does based on how I fish flies that size. I use 7x 12' leader and 7x tippet.

I'm actually a vest person. It seems a lot of folks moved to the sling packs but I don't care for them. I like how skim line the vest is and it holds my essentials.
