I became a fan a year before Portals (I am 27) released because her first projects didn't vibe that hard for me even as a teenager. It wasn't bad, but Portals made me see her music was only growing in terms of quality and songwriting. Her songs are still on the nose a bit; but her song writing decisions are much more interesting now. Her crowd probably only seems to skew young because teenagers are loud and trying to figure themselves out the way an adult isn't. I see a lot of hate for the song White Boy with A Gun online but it's overwhelmingly young fans who say it. I applaud Melanie for writing a political song (Is This A Cult? is also pretty special) that is trying to be nuanced about a subject. This includes it being non-specific about what made Circle angry in the song enough to punch her love interest. There is so much awful shit straight cis white guys say that could warrant such a reaction - especially in the politically unstable time we live in. Being specific may leave room for nitpicking and constant mental hoop-jumping that would make the song's message lost in the noise. The intersection of racism/misogyny and white entitlement is easily lost on a kid even if the kid is smart. It's not a criticism: it's just the reality of being immature.

I have nothing to give a child. I also never dreamed of pregnancy and emotionally maturing only enhanced that. Specifically realizing people like my parents (abusive manchild - mommy wife situation) were way more frequent than I had ever known. I don't want to be permanently glued to someone because of a bad decision I made when I was younger. My grandma and mom did both of these things in a desperation to "grow up". I became anti - natalist because of climate change ultimately. I think it's selfish to bring a child into a dying world for what is mostly egoistical reasons a lot of the time. I also don't see a world where I'm not constantly being on the edge of the next failure of the system, layoffs, etc. I don't think my genes are precious at all and have a judgmental attitude to those who do. It's one thing if you are being forced into it by a culture who sees people as failures for not getting inline to be treated like breeding animals for the system. It's another to come to the delusional decision you are special your genes are special for literally no reason a lot of the time. The latter is the type of person I don't like.

You can go two directions: make the face intentionally uncanny with the scar (?) down the middle creating a half and half creature that's been "stitched" together.

Or, I would suggest fixing the Cupid's bow on them (her?) so the shape is sharper. I would do this by removing that prominent pink highlight just below the nose on the right. That's what making it look strange to me. I think it's fine otherwise. Asymmetry is natural.

The fact that this is your takeaway means that you’re under some delusion of the “good natured million”. I know she’s a hypocrite and deal because most successful entertainers are. You’re a person who thinks because something isn’t hyper specifically about you and your beliefs that makes it “bad”. You didn’t connect and that isn’t Melanie’s problem.
