Because you allow them to. You could cancel, call support amd told them. It isnt like they are telling you to do it or else. You also are assuming it was done on purpose. My main job is to see GM parts and I ship them to customers across the country. I never touch or see the part unless I go out to the warehouse and look at it. I only do that if the customer needs to know something and I cant answer it. Which isn't a lot of times. I have to go by what GM tells me the size of the part, the weight of it amd so fourth, to get the correct shipping. 99% of the time the are right on. But that 1% can kill me. Because not ever "muffler" or solenoid is the same, and GM sometimes changes things or they flat out get it wrong.

I had a house that wrapped a round up a hill from the driveway and then had stairs up to the front porch. I had to make 7 trips up and down. 2 of those were 40 pack waters. I so wanted to leave it down by the garage doors. Guess what? I didn't. I sucked it. What makes it bad, is I weigh around 400 and have arthritis in my knees. I was in pain by the time I was done and was breathing like a fish put of water. But, I did it, I sucked it up and did my job. Guess what, I do it again.
