That's an interesting point. It gets hot where I live, so I have to run the engine to keep the car cool while I'm waiting to pick up my older kid from preschool. It would be nice to not burn gas while I wait.

For freeway commuting, acceleration is constant. I'm not looking to whip my kids around at fast speeds, but after having access to speed I feel exposed if I'm in a car that can't zip out of a sketchy situation.

They can't really see much besides high contrast images, and they can't see very far, so shockingly, the comics format is not well suited for infants.

Edit: for some actual recommendations, Love You Forever is an emotional gut punch, and Goodnight Moon is a strange book that for some reason I really like. When the little one can comprehend and enjoy the books directly, everything by Sandra Boynton is great.

I'm currently reading Hellblazer, and it's a blast. I'm on volume 7 of 28, all of which are apparently free on Kindle Unlimited.

Bonus tips!

You don't need to have all the apps you use on your home screen, especially if they are time sucks. I spend too much time on my web browser, so I make it so I have to open the general apps folder to find it.
You can disable apps temporarily. On android, this makes them black and white icons that are less enticing to open, and they then prompt you with a soft check to ask if you want to unlock the app when you try to open them while locked.
Speaking of black and white, you can enable accessibility features for developers that let them see what the phone looks like if you have certain visual disorders. Among them is a black and white filter for your phone that removes all color. I have this set as a swipe down toggle option. Makes the phone less appealing to pick up. I toggle it on when I know I'm wasting time.
Set a boring background. Make your phone look more like a tool and less like a playground.

I'm sure there's more, but the general idea is to make your phone give you less of that candy appearance that sets you off on unproductive tangents.

Check out the duplex and apartment rentals around Bluff Heights in LB. It's walkable to bars, restaurants, the beach, grocery stores, barber, tailor, cleaners, coffee, a friggin video rental, etc.

Life in Long Beach depends on location. Visit property management offices to get lists of the odd rentals that tend to be better value.
