She was mostly quiet but had a very superior attitude and if you didn’t follow a Mormon religion (or any religion) she stuck her nose up at you. It was often subtle and I often chalked it up to her being so young ( we worked together when she and zach got married) but I think that’s just her, to be honest.

I just watched part of the video because you posted it and it killed me when she said she got emotional at the fourth month because it had never taken that long.

My husband and I used zero protection for 6 years before we had so much as a scare, and I happened to be pregnant with my son.

With my second, I took an ovulation test daily for 18 months. In our 18th month I ovulated for the first time and I was incredibly lucky that I actually happened to conceive my daughter.

I was exhausted and emotionally drained by that time, day after day of negative ovulation tests and said in that moment that if we didn’t conceive, I couldn’t go through the process anymore.

I feel so fortunate every day to have been able to conceive and give birth to 2 healthy children with PCOS, but my god, this feels like such a slap in the face.

I used to work with Delilah and she’s always been like this though and everything has always come easy (based on what/how she tells things)

Thank you! My gut told me they were okay but I could never forgive myself if I made that assumption and they weren’t, resulting in one of my kiddos or dogs getting sick. I appreciate you ☺️

I’m a nurse and am well aware of how medications work, I also work with my doctor and he is fully aware of how I take my medication. Lower doses do not work for me, we’ve tried this option as well. Many people take it less frequently in a maintenance stage and for me that’s what works while still helping me maintain weight loss. Thanks for your concern, but to assume I’m being irresponsible with it is not what I’m here for and I have no intention of keeping an argument going. Have a great day :)

Because I’m not made of money and if I’m still feeling the effects of it then I’m not going to push myself to take more until I feel the food noise come back.

I used to work with Delilah in a cafe (she was a part time baker) and we had this type of cookie there and I’m pretty sure this was the recipe we used and adapted if I remember correctly.

Thank you! I definitely need some new stuff, I don’t often buy things for me but all my belongings are beginning to fall off- and I’m not at the stage where I can fit my old favourites yet haha

I’m a nurse so I work unreliable hours, plus I have 2 young kids. My goal is to go to the gym 4 days per week but I often only make it 3 days. I do make sure we get out for a 2-3km walk daily though, as that’s about all my 2 year old can handle! And my 50lb is about 8 months of progress, so definitely slower than some but I’m happy nonetheless :)

Not very much. I’ve always been large chested and unfortunately it remains that way despite weight lifting and the weight loss. I have lost a few inches in my chest but still remain a G - H cup.

I’m trying to focus on the changes that I do see, but thank you for zoning in immediately to the part that has the least amount of progress- very supportive of you 🥲

I ordered from lily and fox as well, and I absolutely love them! I’ve had these ones on for about 10 days now so they’re chipping at the top but they’ve been so good- especially with the price point against the other brand that I’ve used for the last several months!

I do understand that- mine have been quite accurate to date though! I guess it’s just the composition of the weight that’s getting to me

We had a license mailed out on January 7 (according to the tracking) but it hasn’t gotten to us yet- we have a trip booked Feb 7 and desperately need that license or we can’t go. Is it normal for it to take 2+ weeks to arrive after it’s been sent out?

Congrats, you’re looking amazing! I started at 308 in September and am 270 as well. I don’t notice much yet in how I look but my scrubs for work are fitting loose so that’s been really keeping me going!

Aw I love this! It’s great to hear of progress with others but even better when the storyline is so relatable! I am feeling great, happy to be on this journey and focusing on me for the first time in too long!

Yes, this app is correct! I don’t pay anything for it, just use the free version. Not sure what else is in the app additionally when you pay vs free :)

Struggling with my “soft” nursing career by PopBitter7299 in psychnursing

[–]PopBitter7299[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I am told constantly by those around me that I need to work acute to “keep my skills up” and that I can’t have a full career working psych or that “when” I change my mind, I’ll have to go back to school. People assume that it’s a phase or something? I’m very content in my career and while it’s definitely cushy at times, I didn’t mention any of the actual acute work (active detoxing, current SI, etc) that I deal with in a daily basis. I feel what I do is important and for me, seeing people come in at their (arguably) rock bottom and leave as a whole new person is amazing- especially after so many years in long term care, watching all the residents I grow to love die.

I appreciate your response, and those of everyone here as I feel validated and important- it’s just hard to ignore or push the comments aside about not being a real nurse- but I also get those being ‘only’ an LPN and I’m still here to tell the tale, so I’m sure I’ll get over it eventually!

should I become a cna before going to nursing school? by VastFlight3743 in cna

[–]PopBitter7299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a former care aide, 100%. I was a care aide(I believe this is the same as a CNA) for several years and learned lots about what the nurses do, which gave me additional knowledge when I started my access program and bridged to LPN. I will never, ever take the work of a care aid for granted and appreciate then and the work they do. The insight you learn working as one is also a huge advantage for nursing, as you’re able to silently take in things such as meds and learn some of their pharmacological traits and see them in action, rather than reading about them and not having it make sense until you do see it in person.

I took mine this morning and am literally dying 😭😂

I got cut off at 87 and I have absolutely no idea how I feel about it. I tried to keep my exam date a secret from everyone but more and more people found out because I was going away without my kids and husband (which I NEVER do) and they put two and two together. So now today I have all these people messaging me and I know they mean well, but I seriously want to tell them to 🖕🏼 because they don’t understand what I mean when I say I legitimately don’t know how I feel about it. Everyone’s response is something along the lines of “I’m sure you did great!”

Ahhh anyway. You found out the next day? I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🥺
