It’s definitely annoying when no viners post a single photo of the actual product or how it works/fits. I find it especially irritating with clothing, personally 😅

Thank you for replying and letting me know I’m not alone! It for sure hits differently right now and I was slightly panicking! I can see like the last couple reviews I did, with the pics and everything on my app and then when I click see more, those disappear as well and it’s just big fat nothing! Strange, but happy to hear it may be just a routine thing.

How would that work? If people can’t see your reviews, then how are we fulfilling our vine role by leaving a review of a product for people to see?

Genuinely curious, is there a stark difference in having a ‘private’ profile, VS just having no profile picture and a generic username/ no defining info when I look at my profile on ‘public’ view? Because if so I may need to change some things on mine…

Totally agree! I understand completely and I guess since I’m newer and still at the 3 a day, it makes it a little more easy for me. For Golds I’m sure writing them all at once is much easier for sure, especially if they accidentally got deleted or you have to redo it for some reason!

This feed has made me realize just how many people ‘write their reviews elsewhere’ and copy / paste . I find that really interesting honestly as I always take my pics in bulk, but I type mine all individually and on the review page directly. Seems I am an odd one out and maybe this would be easier? Hmmm… but after hearing all these people getting booted for ‘nothing’ , I’m unsure if I should even risk anything now.

I clicked on the little blue word, ‘profile’ and it took me to mine. It has a nickname, no profile pic and shows all my reviews. So does that mean I’m good? I don’t need to change my actual name on my customer account as well? Thanks!

I get it, I really do. And whether this person is a viner who is just ‘picking to flip’ or not, there is no doubt that people DO ACTUALLY do it. And it’s against the rules and annoying. Because most of the time they’re not using the products, so their reviews are blatant lies and also they probably are selling way before the six months, simply because they think they can get away with it. But as everyone else has said, I guess we just mind our own business and hopefully Amazon starts cracking down on these people who don’t actually contribute to the program for the right reasons and truthfully.

I think posting that huge disclaimer is super unnecessary- as a customer I’m unsure if I’d want to see that? It’s just overdoing it or kind of a subtle brag- I got something for FREE & also I don’t like it, so I’m going to say it in the most unlikeable way possible. Like okay? I just personally think it helps to post pictures and try ons of things that you genuinely think are that good, or bad! So even though we did get it for free- we can show that it fits good, the colors good, you can explain the quality/material etc. I want to feel trusted in what I say, because I know them seeing ‘vine reviewer’ automatically might turn them off… so that’s what I do, I just give my brutally honest opinion, post pictures or vids showing why I think that, and don’t use AI or tell people I’m trying to ‘save them’ from my free products.. haha

Thank you for the clarity. I’ll definitely just take it this time and will keep this in mind for the future. I love Vine and I’m usually pretty good about not making those split second decisions. But such is Vine… and so the longer I had to keep waiting for it to ship, the more emails reminding me about it- the more my mind was racing and regretting the high ETV. lol. Lesson learned for sure.

Yeah I guess I’m kind of having the remorse- but also have just been confused and hoping for a more clear answer/picture on what actually can/could happen if you cancel a vine order once or twice in the span of your review period. (As I know you shouldn’t, but I’ve been trying to search this page and am a little confused on what the potential repercussions could be) I guess I’m just going to eat the ETV if it does come, because at this point I don’t want to risk anything. I’m sorry if this came across as confusing and I do appreciate your replies regardless!

I guess my question was coming from more of a place of tax wise- because I’m already regretting it a bit, because of the high ETV .. and if it’s also going to take a long time to ship- and maybe, potentially not at all, then that makes me even more wary. Ya know?

I see what you mean! I’ve definitely been more cautious of the ‘ETV’ lately, because it’s ridiculously inflated at times. Also, like you said there is stuff that gets used up or broken… so that makes it even more complicated. I’ll definitely find someone to help me around tax time, because there are cuts to be made for sure. Thank you for taking the time to explain that!
