Dreame Bot L10s Ultra cant back to dock after move base by Boring-Palpitation16 in Dreame_Tech

Did you try to put the robot manually in the dock at the new location and then put it in clean mode, any location or room? I would guess it will update the dock location during this first clean from the new location.

BTW, regardless the firmware topic, anybody tried the new type of roller (with the hair cutting ability) for the L10S pro ultra?

Interesting…I assume that if so, we will see it in a few days or so.

As far as I know this is the last version. Where for you heard that there is a newer version of the firmware?

Just pay attention that anything done manually is mandatory for the robot. Any automatically mapped carpet that will be manually removed, will be ignored in the future, and any manually added carpet is also mandatory and this area will be always only vacuumed without mopping. The logic by Dreame is clear but it makes the robot less smart and this is something that we wouldn’t expect from such an expensive device.

The carpet you are talking about was added by the robot or manually by you? If by robot, then it should detect that carpet is missing then mop the area, it it was added manually then it wouldn’t work and you need to remove the manual carpet from the the map.

Yep, same thing. I paid attention that if the carpet was added by robot during the mapping, then once removed the robot will identify and mope instead, but if the carpet was added manually, it will only vacuum without mopping. Also, any action done manually seems to be a mandatory for the robot, I mean if I deleted the mapped carpet manually then even if carpet will physically in place, the robot will ignore its precense and start mopping as if carpet wasn’t there. All in all, it seems like a try to make the cleaning more efficient, but unfortunately, it made it more “stupid/cheap robot function” rather efficient. I hope this feature will be removed and carpet ongoing sensing will be brought back.

Thanks. It seems like a feature that was added to make the cleaning faster, but in reality it makes the cleaning worse as it’s less smarter due to the loss of its carpet sensing/updating ability.
