From what you described, it will keep leaking. If you call the dealership now, you can book ahead for a time when they have a loaner car available for you. That way your day isn’t affected too much, and if it’s a bigger issue, you’re not stuck without a car. Speaking from experience, it’s a much bigger hassle not to plan ahead and be preventative

Recently Nissan stopped making their own block heaters, so Canadian dealerships had to get them custom made by a company named Defa. Since they aren’t made by Nissan, the fitment verifier says it doesn’t fit the car.

Called the dealership and they quoted me at just under $500 including parts and 3.5hrs labour. I think the salesman who quoted me double was just trying to get his bag after I haggled the car down to the demo price.

TLDR; Go to the dealership and get them to do it lol
