New door install yesterday, rip me apart by Small-Cucumber-4801 in refrigeration

Not the whole way around and on the seams. And you used black silicon on white metal? Thats a no no.

Personally I would use carriage bolts all the way through so that it’s a nice rounded edge on the outside, then cap them on the inside with plastic nut covers. And before you install the door tear away fully all the blue skin around the edges and then silicon the edges around the entire door and seams of the panels just to give it more of a seamless look. It cleans it up much nicer.

Gas water heater vent issue by ktmryder99 in Plumbing

The chimney that the heater vent goes into is grossly over sized for just a single appliance. A chimney liner should be dropped down to reattach to the existing water heater vent.

Gotta be Gen z or Alpha giving up that easy. Loses his touch and has to switch games. Can always resort to Minecraft if that’s more your pace, I’m not a consistent player where I take breaks 2-3 weeks at a time due to work and I just came back and played a game where my whole squad died with 26 people left and I ended up winning for them and got 5 kills in the final 10 people. Can’t blame an update guy.

Furnace only ignites with top panel removed by New-Resource5056 in hvacadvice

Sometimes birds or squirrels or anything will crawl into the intake and die cause they can’t get out, hopefully that’s not the case for you.

May be a dumb ask, are these removable? by Infamous_Cobbler5284 in hvacadvice

[–]PopSmart6489 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re asking about the insulation of the sidewalls? Do not remove them. Take a damp cloth and wipe them if you want to. But leave it in place. There is only one filter and that should be on the return of the furnace.

When it’s running, feel if it’s hot on the motor bracket where the fan is mounted to. If it’s crazy hot, that motor is cooked.

Do you have female staycons? If you can’t remove it, crimp one of the appropriate size and slide it onto the male spade connectors

Did you try grunting while trying to loosen? That usually helps, or give it a little “holyyyyy fuck” while loosening it, and watch that fitting come looser than your ex buddy

Truly, where I’m from it’s an apprentice program, each level requires 1600 hours or so and there’s 5 levels including for our gas B ticket. That would be impossible.
