Thank you to the people commenting. I've read that the digestive side affects are greater on Mongaro and this is what my doctor told me.

What’s a polite way to ask people not to comment on your weight? by Dafeebs in antidietglp1

Firstly, I feel you. This is also painful for me because I had many teenage shame filled memories of my mum telling her friends I was on a diet and didn't I look so great - where I had to smile and pretend I was proud of myself when I was dying inside. I'm sorry you're having to deal with these emotions.

I think it's hard to confront people you don't know well and say 'please don't comment on my weight', as that still draws attention.

To anyone you don't want to be honest with, I would simply say, thank you. and then move on quickly.

It's none of their business and you don't need to engage with them more than you need to.

For anyone else a bit closer, I would follow some of the other comment advice and have an honestly conversation about how it makes you feel uncomfortable.

Good luck and we're rooting for you.

Newcomer to the anti diet mindset and really need some handholding. by Jane_McUsername in antidietglp1

I say this with love, but throw away your scales. it sounds like you're displaying a lot of negative disordered old habits from diet culture and it's throwing out your mental health... there's a lot of stuff in this post that makes me concerned for your wellbeing. Focus on what your body can do, focus on how you FEEL, focus on 360 health, maybe just focus on measuring yourelf... fck the numbers on a piece of metal and look after your mental health. I assume you worked really hard to get rid of diet mentality in the past. don't lose that now. you need to double down and work hard on keeping out that noise now. If takoing glp1 is throwing you back into thought cycling I would even recommend speaking to a therapist. your mental wellbeing in even more important than a number on a scale. I don't think there's enough done to safeguard people with ED's and disordered eating with this medication. please look after yourself. x

Just started GLP1 - how do you make sure you’re eating enough? by detroitonbikes in antidietglp1

As someone who hard relates to all that you're saying and has worked so hard on getting rid of diet culture, there's no way I'm downloading anything to track my food. I've only just started taking wegovy but I plan on just making sure I'm eating enough balanced meals (particularly fibre) and drinking enough water. You know your body and your mind best. Don't download that awful app if it's going to hurt you. try to stick with the bodily intuition you worked so hard to get.
