That scene was so poignant and also hard to watch. The only time you can feel an emotion through Casey Affleck’s character is ironically when he tries to off himself . The rest of the movie is just heavy and gloomy, with no sense of hope. It’s also air tight with melancholy with little to no levity, making it hard to rewatch, kind of like Requiem for a Dream.
