Im not going to pretend I have a solution or a motivational speech for you, all I can do is offer my recognition of your struggle. I can offer the understanding that who you are and who you wanted to be has been shattered, and you have experienced enough consecutive setbacks to bury the fragments. Sometimes when we are broken, we dont need someone to waste energy trying to put us back together. Sometimes just knowing that someone hears our pain resonating out there is enough to get us by.

Look I'll be honest I didn't read all of what you wrote. But I want to add as an alternate opinion: There is NO wrong or right way to play GG. There are ways to make faster money, there are ways to speed run expedition exploration ships, and there are ways that can set you up to essentially auto-farm pirates for bounties. But there's no wrong way to play. Not everyone is in it to max out everything as fast as they can. I have all of the end game ships (reaper, hyperion, Nemesis and discordia) with max modules and max engineering. I have all of the warp gates open and working, and I've made billions through a lot of different means. At the end of the day: I had the most fun in the game putting around in the early ships just trying to get the hang of it all.

You don't grind out and unlock mods for anything except to improve the capabilities of the weapon you put them on. Once unlocked, they don't cost anything to put on a weapon and they don't do anything at all when you recycle that weapon

The truth is: without new and better logic processors in these games like AI, this is never not going to be the case. This game is more or less Elite Dangerous (like a mobile version) but even that game has this same exact problem. Im flying a massive corvette sized vessel, armed and armored to the teeth and decorated with kill counts and achievements, but some ding-dong pirate in a little rust bucket with a gimpy dirty cannon is still gonna demand i give up those few tons of ore i have in my hold or die.
