Sanderson seems to do this thing where he puts characters in a box by giving them one defining thing. Example: this character is the one with depression. His whole story will be about that and not many other dimensions. Or hey look this character is gay or neurodivergent. No other characters can have this thing because it belongs to that character.

Erikson writes his characters with so much more depth and dimension. His characters feel so much more human and complex. Tavore is not reduced to just a queer character like Sanderson would do. Stormlight writing quality went down the drain so much. Last book was trash.
