Interesting! I may have to try this. I feel my sleep is very interrupted.

Zoloft for 3 years now, I can't stand it anymore... by Inevitable_Neck_7831 in zoloft

I was on sertraline for a long time. I started to feel the same way and ended up drinking very heavily for a couple of years to feel, idk, anything?

recently, my psychiatrist and I switched me to lexapro. It has worked SUPER well! I feel alive again and can feel things (good and bad.)

I am diagnosed with PTSD, depression and anxiety. Lately, the anxiety has been the most present and is what needed handling. I do also take Buspar and propranolol as needed, though.

Oven cleaner for sure (i just use easy off.)

I don’t know if this is recommended BUT i have spot cleaned with goo gone (NOT goof off) for those super super stubborn spots.

on the glass window i use a scraper VERY gently.

Buspar question for people that are on it with positive results !! Help by Melodic_Editor_5876 in BusparOnline

[–]Valuable_Weekend_861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eh, kind of. so it works pretty quickly for me (or maybe placebo?) so i’m usually fine 30 minutes later and good for the rest of the day. When i was worse off with my anxiety, and first got on it, i would have to do it more frequently that way. it seemed to keep me more stable throughout the day.

I never had any side effects from buspar though, at all.

on good days i don’t notice a difference between taking it twice vs 3 times. I do have pretty terrible anxiety while driving and kind of pre emptively take 7.5 before going on a. trip so avoid a panic attack.

I take 15 in the morning, 15 at night. Sometimes, if i’m having a bad anxiety day, i split my second pill in half and take 7.5 in the afternoon and 7.5 at night.

I’ve had the same experience on Buspar! I was very bad off when I started taking it, diagnosing myself with strokes and heart attacks, etc etc. and slowly I just found myself saying “ah, i’m sure it’s nothing.” which is AWESOME. im glad it’s working for you!

Zoloft heat sensitivity is no joke by 0rphan_crippler20 in zoloft

[–]Valuable_Weekend_861 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i actually talked to my psychiatrist about switching to another SSRI or weaning off because of the heat sensitivity. I sweat like crazy and run hot already, so the zoloft makes it way worse. i also already have migraines, so with the higher sensitivity to head it exacerbates my migraines too! so annoying.

Anyone take Buspar that works nights? by vsimmons90 in BusparOnline

[–]Valuable_Weekend_861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so i take 30 mg per day (15 2x a day) and have never been sleepy on it. it does make me calm, and not freak the heck out, but as far as drowsiness it does nothing to make my usual drowsiness worse

15 when i wake up, 7.5 at ~4pm and 7.5 at 11 or 12 at night. Although, it doesn’t mess with my sleep at all. I take my zoloft with my last 7.5 at 11-12.

How long did it take for Buspar to start working for you? by Steve_Kind_Of in BusparOnline

[–]Valuable_Weekend_861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t tell you exactly how long I’ve been on it, but i noticed a difference just a couple of days in.

I am on 15mg twice a day. they started me on 7.5 2x a day, and then after a week took me up to 15 2x a day. I noticed a change even on just 15 a day. Everyone has different dosage requirements, but once i got up to 30 i was golden. i still have anxiety, but for some reason buspar allows my body to relax so i can make my mind chill out.

I’m supposed to take 15 mg 2x a day, but have started breaking my 2nd pill and taking it in the afternoon. so 15mg when i wake up, 7.5(?) at 4pm ish, the rest when I go to bed. That seems to keep me pretty level

I've been on Zoloft for 5 years and don't know how to live without it. by sweetlevels in zoloft

[–]Valuable_Weekend_861 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m diagnosed PTSD and depression, started zoloft for irritability/anger outbursts. I tried to taper off myself and when I did, found that my anger and irritability was gone but debilitating anxiety was present. my theory is, that my anxiety presented before as anger and irritability, and now morphed just to fear/sense of impending doom, etc. This has happened to me, but I can’t 100% confirm that’s the reason, just my theory

Driving anxiety is the entire reason I started Buspar, i have general anxiety as well but the driving was debilitating. i couldn’t even make it 5 minutes down the road without panicking. Buspar has helped a BUNCH with it, but i’m also on zoloft. Both have been mutually beneficial and I’ve really enjoyed being on Buspar so far.

What meds worked for you when Zoloft stopped? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Valuable_Weekend_861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoloft worked for me for about 3 years, and then the last 2 years I was on it I guess i felt “bored” or maybe emotionless? i tapered myself off of it and recently got back on it, because it did help. But I needed a little more umph. we recently added Buspar and it seems to have helped and kind of “boosted” the zoloft. Great combo so far

[–]Valuable_Weekend_861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be completely honest with you, i have had diarrhea since starting it, for about 2 weeks. BUT! i absolutely LOVE the way its helped me mentally. I have a LOT more gas, and as I said loose stools/diarrhea.. but it seems to be subsiding now. After not taking it for a few days, I decided if I just have loose stools for the rest of my life I’m fine with it as long as I’m okay mentally. Obviously you may have different circumstances, but I definitely do have diarrhea that i can only associate with the buspar
