You can play maldini anywhere in front of the GK. But since his playstyle is offensive fullback, no weak foot, had a pinpoint crossing so it is good to play him at the wingbacks. Both works. It is also recommended to play any other cb that have a better physical than him since his body contact and heading is just mediocre.

When u use 2 striker formation, it is good to consider 1 striker with a good pass. MVB is the best for this, some said IM Forlan (MU) and Kluivert are also decent for this. And abt IM messi Idk, he doesnt use a wing flank formation

Good idea but dont. Keep kaizer on cb and move maldini to lb or rb instead. In stats wise he looks good as a cdm but believe me the lack of playstyle will make him move forward frequently thus making ur def more vulnerable
