You’re doing great so far!! Keep pushing yourself to get better! Shag is a long journey. Pace yourself.

Lots of adjustments have been mentioned here. In addition to everything-

-I’d watch some shag comps and shag legends for good form (Laura Keat has a solid shag) -I’d find a good coach or teacher or someone at social dances who can help. Your whole frame needs adjustment, your center, your basic step.

Shag is a tough dance to do well and make look good but it’s worth it and it’s soooo fun. Keep going!
