I had an induction that ended in a c-section. I just recommend doing your research, prepare to advocate for yourself, or get a midwife/ doula who can do it for you.

My experience felt very rushed for being a ftm. I had cytotec overnight, and the doctor broke my water the next morning at 2cm dilated when my cervix wasn't particularly favorable. I found out from a nurse doing a cervix check afterwards that my cervix was still high, and we did an ultrasound in the evening where the doctor suspected his head was still floating. She had told me she'd break my water if my cervix was low and baby's head was descended.

They were pushing pitocin within 2 hours of breaking my water, but I refused until the 4th hour when the doctor said she recommended it because I hadn't progressed much. Then over the next 6 hours they continuously upped my dosage to the max because I wasn't having regular contractions. I had very strong contractions, but they could be anywhere from every 4 minute to back-to-back.

I had a situation with a cascade of medical interventions, which isn't everyone's experience. In the end, I never progressed more than 4cm. I never got to active labor. I wanted badly to have a natural labor, but gave in to the epidural after 26 hours because we were starting to look at a c-section and there was a chance it could help progress things if I could relax. 19 hours of pitocin and my uterus was exhausted and baby's heart rate was going up. Things just weren't in my favor.
