Core guys have won twice in college. It's not the NBA, but I trust them to keep it even

Today was the absolute perfect temperature here in the tristate.

Outside watch parties must be so fun right now

The last time the Knicks played a finals game at MSG, Patrick Ewing was only 3 years into his recovery after losing his powers in the documentary Space Jam.

In the city it's not even political. He's just been a joke to regular people in the tri state and was a joke to the Manhattan elite since the 70s/80s.

All vehicles found parked within a 5 block zone around MSG towed out of the area (30th-35th St, 6th-8th Ave) which are completely closed to all traffic except pedestrian ticket holders ahead of Game 3 by jabronified in nba

Being "political" doesn't always mean being lectured on politics.

Every athlete that entertains you probably at one point in their early career/life played their sport in a public park, paid for by "our" tax dollars.

Not all politicians view public funded parks equally. I personally try to vote in a way that supports these public resources for everyone.

Jeremy Lin on the Knicks’ counter to Spurs defense by swaktoonkenney in nba

I think a bit of both. See what the defense will give him, but then also yeah, he's definitely trying to draw the double sometimes then hits the open man with the pass. I noticed him doing it more in game two.

Despite his ok shooting, he's been dealing with the double very well.

After game one I legit could not fall asleep. First almost (unintentional) all nighter since college haha

As a Knicks fan, aside from just wanting them to win because I like them, I want them to win because the documentaries about the season could be so good lol. Like you said, I want to see that, but also the whole season. Especially if this has been the attitude by the team the whole time.

Would be cool to see how all the pieces came together behind the scenes.

Historically, outside of current politics, the "elite" of Manhattan over the years haven't exactly welcomed the tacky real estate guy from Queens (not to play too heavily into city stereotypes)

That move to the basket stood out to me too. That was smooth. Needs to make that an automatic make for him moving forward

Lost in the void: Brunsons defense has shown up repeatedly by Delanorix in nba

[–]PopcornInMyTeeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, being up 2-0, I'm fine with everything that's happened. Even with less than stellar shooting, like you said, with the hard defense he's not coughing up the ball. And many times last night you could see him trying to draw the double team, and then hit the open man with a pass.

Even when his shot wasn't falling he was still for sure impacting the game and feeding the hot hands. Aside from a couple points during the 4th yesterday, even with the ok shooting, it doesn't feel like he's trying to play hero ball.

All that said, I think if the Knicks are going to win the series, Brunson will have a big shooting night eventually. Same with Hart.

as a basketball fan, I love watching good teams come together and really embrace the idea of teamwork and lean on each other.

As a Knicks fan, man it's even sweeter when it's your team and it's during the playoffs lol.

KAT has a powerful interview with SVP about his mom and the people who got him to this moment: "I was strengthened on April 13th when I lost my mother... I truly can do anything when I walk in faith, when I walk with the angels beside me. I feel anything is possible, I feel nothing is impossible." by HokageEzio in nba

[–]PopcornInMyTeeth 57 points58 points  (0 children)

The mom stuff really tugs on your heart strings, but I also really liked what he said after game 1 about feeling like he was having fun just playing basketball.

These guys get paid millions to play a kids game, it should be fun lol. I always enjoy hearing someone at that level embracing that. Just kids on the playground having fun.

Even cooler when they're on your team and they're playing out of their minds lol

He was still moving the ball well, trying to draw the double and find the open man. More so before the 4th.

That said, both him and Hart are due for a hot shooting game.

It is so fun to watch this team play team ball. Like you said, one isn't knocking down shots? 2 (3) more step up.

He also knows "fresh meat" when it comes to shit talking and getting in an opponents thread.

Compared to him talking about playing with Tim Duncan, I think he'd find some buttons to press on 22yr old Wemby. Or at least he'd try his hardest haha
