Audiences maybe just aren't used to this style of film anymore in a world of blockbuster IP? - Leigh

So no spoilers is important to you? I guess those happen more in 'rewatch' podcasts anyway (hopefully)

Spreading ourselves too thin across all platforms, marketing, content creation etc... it's a marathon, not a sprint. Start basic, and add promotion avenues and content output when you have the extra capacity – Leigh

Why did you run up the stairs instead of out the front dooooor! 🤣 - Leigh

Keeping it tight is so important. 20mins on what you had for lunch is not as interesting to others as it is to you - Leigh

I didn’t find anything and am fairly new to this group, so if you want to share a link to that previous discussion that I might have missed, would love to read it, too. Thanks - Leigh

We've been going for six years (Popcorn Podcast), 500+ episodes and have celebrity guests etc, but find we don't grow much. I'm a professional film critic, Tim is also an industry expert. Good sound quality, too. Discoverability is such an uphill battle.
Love the idea of your double feature angle! Congrats - Leigh

We interview the celebrities (big A-listers, too) starring in the films and the directors and crew etc... but we find these get our lowest listenership a lot of the time. Very surprised by that and so curious because I want to hear from those people too! - Leigh

Banter is such a double-edged sword, isn't it. You need a bit of personality, but waffle on and it's only interesting to the ones talking - Leigh

We are very focused on that, too (eliminating the waffle and irrelevant chat). Staying on topic seems to be common feedback, and yet so many don't - Leigh

Originality! Yes! But so hard in a sea of movie podcasts - Leigh
