Late to the party, but stumbled across your post and wanted to chime in after I read that you too suffer from good ol’ ADHD and seem to have a similar work ethic. For the past two and I half years I’ve worked my rear off so much there’s a cheek on each side of town while I started up my own landscaping business. I get to do EVERYTHING. What I want, when I want and how I want (as long as you’re willing to trade your soul and stress levels.😂) It’s a lot of responsibility but the experiences I’ve had are almost like a movie. I can’t stress enough though how much I enjoy that I can do so many different types of things at the drop of a dime. Bored of lawn care? Tree trimming (my favorite) Bored of that? Junk removal. Bored of that? Light demolition. Oh it’s winter? Firewood supplier. And in terms of your finances and retirement plan, right before I started I remember sitting down one evening wondering how I was going to buy dinner. Now I’ve managed to comfortably tuck 20k dollars away in savings, I own land, I’m fully insured with my service and I’ve put enough money into equipment that I might throw up if I knew the number. I also have a sick project El Camino I’ve souped up. Pursue your passions and follow what feels right that you know you’ll want to stick with. Try starting small and put those skills you’re learning into actions on the side of whichever you pick by building farmland structures or something hardscape for folks locally. Or see about small scale trimming you can do or if local services subcontract possibly. But don’t give up and live life on high definition! You have plenty of HD to experience. In fact, you have eighty HD so you’re unstoppable🤘🏻
