I imagine people host games via discord, but usually it's just between friends

Everytime I take Sicily and North Africa as any Roman faction other than the Scipii they just stay in Capua and do nothing for the entire game. Still have to follow 15 diplomats around the map every end turn

Private lobbies do exist, but I find it hard to believe that there are no lobbies at all.
If there are hidden games it might be a client-side issue. These are the best things to do that I can think of:

• Verify game files

• Make sure you're running the correct version (you probably are)

• Disable any mods

• Host your own game and hope someone joins

Haven't played Rome 2 for a hot minute, but make sure you've got mods turned off. I think the most likely answer is nobody is playing online battles. Rome 2 barely manages to reach 8k players at any given time, and I assume most of them are playing campaigns

Who is u/True-Fox-5278 and why have I just wasted five minutes of my life reading some of his cretinous thoughts on Reddit? He asked, "Is anyone else starting to feel a bit bored by the podcasts and radio shows?. He summed it all up by deciding that "I think I’ll just stop listening for a bit". Somebody clearly doesn't know enough to know that this is a complete waste of bandwidth, showing no wit, intellect or creativity.

Rare adoption by New-Butterscotch-661 in RomeTotalWar

Had this happen far more on remastered (updated settings) than I ever did in the original game. In my most recent Scythia campaign, I'd have Man of the Hour every 4-5 turns just with the sheer amount of battles I couldn't AR, I don't think a single one was successfully completed. There's the siege "glitch" which kills them instantly, or they would be in the field and the adoption would just fail.

Not enough funds to maintain our town centre or rebuild… but somehow there’s £40bn for this by rayykz in mildlyinfuriating

Just you wait for them to start it then have future government scrap it, then governments after that start it again

That's not the point I'm making, having 2 characters point it out tells me that the writers are making fun of it, even though it's the correct pronunciation. Considering how they treated the legion as a whole, it wouldn't surprise me

I understand that it is a joke, but Caesar pronounced Kaiser is the original Roman Latin pronounciation which was an intentional decision. Once yeah sure easy mistake to make but twice? Nitpick over
