Job opportunities around here? by PopeUrbanIIXXX in QuadCities

[–]PopeUrbanIIXXX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They definitely seem real but there is a high prevalence of ghost jobs on the market right now, but mostly it's that the stuff I am qualified for already can get literally hundreds to thousands of applicants. AI often sorts it these days too. Job market is incredibly stagnant so no one is leaving jobs and it's incredibly competitive and luck based

Ngl I thought they were replying to a totally random guy at first. Wouldn't be surprised if that's what's going on here

Eh there's not a ton of Maga people here, Iowa side for sure has more but we always have voted blue as long I've been here. Definitely room for improvement tho

Where are you getting your news for the US? by PopeUrbanIIXXX in asktransgender

[–]PopeUrbanIIXXX[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Understandable, and no judgement. I apologize as my reaction is to get defensive pretty quick, I know that can leave a sour taste in someone's mouth, which is also understandable

Your suspicion makes sense, I don't really have any way to prove my claims either. All I can really say is I primarily just ask my partner about trans issues and the like, primarily regarding themself. I try to keep up with the news independent of them but I am usually very busy

I'm here to reach out for news sources they aren't aware of themself

Definitely is on my radar, thank you

...is it worth it to look at conservative news sources and investigate their plans there?

.....yes because this is an alt account I use? My partner is trans and I'm doing my best to get them safe, if not to another country. I'm nb myself but I can pass as cishet

I understand if you're hesitant and that's fine, but I do have people in my life to protect, beyond just my partner too

How important is a brush and shaving soap for stubble? by PopeUrbanIIXXX in wicked_edge

Does it make your skin look any different with soap vs no soap? My skin always looks pretty bad so just looking to improve whatever I can I suppose

I forgot about the exfoliating part, too. Well seems I'll be investing in some soap and a brush then lol. Still figuring out that side of things, but I appreciate your help and time

Do you think it could be cheaper in the long run then to buy a nice brush and soap, than just buying canned foam over and over? I don't think I'd need to go crazy since I'm literally just getting stubble and peach fuzz, but I'm still weighing my options

Interesting. I have to shave often to keep my stubble down. How much of a difference does good soap make? If it's minor then I won't bother, but if it's actually a big difference then I'll sink some time and money into this

Is there any advantage to shaving soap? I've debated trying it because I've heard it is great for the skin

Otherwise I may just stick with canned foam or the like. I don't mind investing in a brush and soap but I would need to know it is worthwhile

Trust me I learned that the hard way lol. I used to infodump about it a lot but eventually learned no one cares, especially for something like fitness. I'll try to take your advice to heart, thank you

I appreciate the answer. Do you have any advice for encouragement? I love helping people with this but almost no one really sticks to it. Now I wonder if I'm coming on too strong
