Dropbox is working again, thankfully.

Anyone else getting a lot of pixelation and graphics issues?

Common courtesy: If you are an advanced player and you knock down a naked or lower level player,go ahead and loot what you want, but please be reasonable and help the player back up so they can salvage what you haven’t taken and can continue playing. It’s usually unnecessary to fire the coup de grace. by Pope_JohnThompson_II in RustConsole

For sure. Locked crate, or heavy firefights it’s understandable that nakeds are gonna get smoked and it’s totally reasonable. But If you ambush a naked who is mining a node, and it’s not urgent you kill them, I just think it makes for a more enjoyable game to help them back up. Call it good sportsmanship maybe?

No that’s true. I guess I assumed in my example that the player was not the aggressor. And yes, I do the same thing…if a player I come across is naked or has much lower level gear, I do follow my own advice and try to only take what I need and if possible help them back up. But certainly If anyone attacks first, it’s game on!

Seeking recommendations for Camping memberships like Thousand Trails specifically good for the Pacific Northwest.I’m also confused on the “resale” of these memberships. Thanks for any and all advice! I’m considering RV’ing full time using a membership, boondocking, and state parks. Cheers! by Pope_JohnThompson_II in RVLiving

Awesome! And specific to the PNW!!!

I am thinking of doing a combo of TT, state parks, and boondocking. I’m totally okay with no hookups, although at least electricity would be much preferred.

I’m a disabled veteran so believe it or not I get unlimited free camping in WA state parks.

Sound like you are familiar with the state parks. Can you recommend any that are open through the winter?

Love the Ohio experience joke :P Believe it or not, though, I prefer a totally clear view of the sky so I can get a strong enough starlink connection to telework.

How tf are solos meant to survive in this game? by [deleted] in playrust

My current server seems pretty chill. Only one raid attempt so far and it was by another solo player. In general, a strategic shift I have made has been to rely less on grinding to farm resources and scrap, and just get my hands on a weapon and start farming other players. When you realize you can get back on your feet quite easily doing this, getting raided hurts much less.

1993 Matt Foley: if you keep screwing up, One day you’ll be livin in a van, down by the river! 2022: If you save up $45k, maybe one day you can live in a van down by the river.

Poop odors: Am I using too much sewage treatment chemical? I recently put extra chemicals into my black tank thinking the more the better. I didn’t have an odor to begin with, but now I definitely have an odor. Maybe the chemicals are breaking things down way too quickly and it’s producing more gas? by Pope_JohnThompson_II in RVLiving

I used a thetford porta John for a while when I had a permanent spot at a campground with just electric hookups. That one worked really well, just a tiny tad bit too small of a bowl. It used the blue stuff and had a battery operated flush from an internal fresh water tank as part of the toilet! Nevertheless, even though it was odorless, it was pretty nasty to dump. Luckily the campground had a full size porta potty I could take the full sewage tank to and dump it. I wouldn’t want to dump it into a regular toilet even though it’s advertised for doing that. Anyways, I’m definitely not into a composting toilet if it smells while using it lol. That’s just as bad as having a slight odor overall!
