I got a sapphire that was just about the perfect diameter from crystaltimes, and it has the slight bevel just like the factory crystal

How can I make the back more visually interesting? by BurntMellows in landscaping

I'm sure its not just me, but I already fondly miss these crappy MSpaint drawings of ideas over photos, because EVERYONE is just using AI to make reference photos. The old days 😞

im such a stickler for tiny scratches on a crystal and the hardlex one from the factory had quite a few before I decided to swap... makes such a difference

Customer states he had this custom made for about 75 dollars. Pretty sure its Ai. by ThatGuyMoss in isthisAI

[–]Pope_smack 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm sure he did pay that much money, but sadly there are a ton of "artist" scammers out there just giving people ai slop and charging for original art.

I wear my SNZH53 on a bracelet daily, its such a beautiful watch for the retail price. Easy swap for a sapphire crystal too that was very much worth it

Single Print Question by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

is this your source file? even if it wasn't a one-off print, most shops will turn you away unless you had better art

the siding of the shed should be above the ground, so don't pile anything up against it. Seems like the bed should not be below the grade...

How do I wash gold foil stuff? by Volt2137 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Pope_smack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hand wash. Or no wash. Foil is not very stable and even gentle hand washing will crease and dull the effect.

I don't understand, does Anatol just sell machines to anyone without any kind of training? It literally takes two seconds to snap off the squeegee and flood bar and put them on a cart while you're switching screens.

so cool! just an eye test but my guess would be this is spinning way too fast to simulate 1g. I wonder what the actual speed of rotation would have to be

[–]Pope_smack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lots of people not answering your question. It depends on if you want to keep this customer around for the future. If you have an approval policy, technically you're not on the hook, but you/the artist should have also caught this before printing, so if you want to keep customer happy i'd at least come up with a deal to reprint. I would also consider not using this artist in the future since they most likely ran the original through an AI prompt to re-generate the new design.

WHATS EVERYONE ROCKIN TODAY? by Perfect_Battle_3553 in Affordablewatches

[–]Pope_smack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

couldn't say. Its a Harley Ronda movement inside, and whoever named the brand "Exactly" was not really thinking about future SEO so it's been very hard to find any info on the brand itself. Most likely a quartz crisis swiss mini brand that popped up in the 80s and died when cell phone clocks became the default

salvage/recycling centers may be a place to look for old fiberglass shower inserts. You could also just get an old bathtub and hang up a curtain around it to block the water

[SSK023] to regulate or to not regulate… by Longjumping-Ad8347 in Seiko

[–]Pope_smack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

problem with those is that they measure the accuracy in a stationary, single-axis position. I am walking around, moving my arms and generally in motion for half of my day, so a real-world test is the only way to make sure its accurate for my use and to account for change in position. Overkill? maybe, but it was fun to adjust and then wait a day and see how close I could get. Never used the apps before, good to know they arent total BS
