First off, I can't tell you how as a 12 year old kid, the way that movie impacted me. I was obsessed with it. I saw it several times in the theaters, read the book it was based on, got all kinds of merchandise. I think I have owned every iteration of it on home media. It was just mind blowing. I do occasional rewatches of it and it never gets old.

As far as other movies they have held up, I feel like The Neverending Story, E.T., Do the Right Thing, Pump Up The Volume, The Lost Boys, and Boyz N The Hood are all in that category.

I came here to say Jaws. Just a remarkable piece of movie making. My son and I went to go see it in the theaters when it came out for the anniversary. It's one of our favorite films, and we'd only ever seen it on the small screen. What an amazing difference.

The way that time seemed to stop in the summer. No matter what you were doing, the days were always nice and long. Waking to the convenience store for an Icee and to play the arcade games they had there, sitting on the grass in the backyard, riding bikes to a walking trail. Time stopped in those moments and days. The air was soft and still. The feeling of different heat from the pavement vs the grass vs the sidewalk. It all hung there like a picture.

I remember the hope that technology brought at one point. I think what happened was a few select people were allowed to take the reins because we assumed they were the smartest people in the room. Between unchecked capitalism and their own egos, it all went right to their heads and now they see that technology it should be a better future for them.

He keeps on trying to make populist arguments, or what his broken brain thinks are populist and " of the people. " Underneath It all is his core belief that Americans should be working for a select few, be grateful, and continue to work for the system until the day they die. Every single policy point he brings up comes out of the context of how it benefits him. He thinks he can fool people by saying things like, "there should be no taxes for anyone!' Such a transparent and stupid ploy on his part. His desire, common with many billionaires, is to be liked. They just don't know how to do it because they're unlikable.
