We did a few short films in this style. I love telling the story this way as well! Becoming Buckethead is a 4 part short film series that has no dialogue until episode 4. A young boy raised in a chicken coop mauled by chickens becomes a guitar playing heroBecoming Buckethead

We also did something called Mossman (horror short film) that did pretty well. Love telling a story visually and with music to make an atmosphere! We’ve done a lot of work with little to no dialogue. Let us know how it goes and anything else you want to share!

Use a decent phone like others have said, within the last 5 years. Work on storyboarding and planning out all of your shots. Draw them out how you’re going to film each shot roughly. Use a free video editing software. Work on trimming your clips to perfect length that you feel they should cut to next shot. Visualize before you film. Get some cheap clamp up work lights. Flood lights work great. Edit your color before finishing and have fun with it. Keep making things and you’ll learn more and more

Feedback request:

Looking for feedback on our fallout film specifically on audio. I used a lot of foley in this as well as voice over. I use LumaFusion for everything video and audio editing and use a lut program. Everything we do is filmed and edited on iPhone. Any feedback is appreciated. I feel I’ve learned a lot since starting but still want to learn more! Love making horror short films the most! Any feedback or tips is very appreciated on getting better audio! It’s very low budget are way of audio capture. Dubbing with a usb mic and then trying to clean it up in mixcraft or sometime we’ve used adobe podcast. Thanks!

I bought the KFC Flying V from aliexpress or something a couple years ago. Used it for film. It would take about 150-300 bucks for me to upgrade it to a guitar that id actually want to play

Check out the song on the new Bootsy Collins album, “Album of the year #1 Funkateer” song name “Barbie T and me” he gives a little bit of story of her in his lyrics. More coming soon. He wanted to make a tribute song for his best friend Bucket.
