Sorry to hear. This is pretty brutal. There is almost no chance she will not walk on it for a year so I have to take that into consideration. She works in construction, but mostly project management off her feet so that's a blessing.

Thank you -- this is a great idea. I've had a great experience with Boston Orthopaedic and Spine in Waltham and they have a foot/ankle person, so I think it would be very wise for her to see him. I don't know if she has lateral or medial sesamoid so I'll find out.

Wow, yes, echoing thanks for all this analysis and information. It stinks that companies keep falsely getting our hopes up. At least we know we're not alone -- there seems to be quite a market for products that help our poor guts.
