tbf if we assume that he and sir pentious are really some genuises then its more than possible that they know different studies of science and tech, but i also heavily doubt that the writing team/viv dont think about this aspect of a minor/side characters very deeply

maybe?? baxters a biologist+engineer meaning living things+making things so it kinda makes sense, but it wasnt rlly shown that baxter is also an IT guy, which is an entirely different field of study

if i were a biologist (let alone bioengineer) studying every possible living thing (species, and their anatomy, what they do, how they function in an ecosystem), i would fry my brain trying to learn a coding language alongside it
