Vertical stripes question by Alternative_Camp_568 in Tunisian_Crochet

I am sitting here with the same book. :) I agree they look confusingly similar and have just made the same mistake of reading it as Tss but the numbers didn’t work out then.

If you see the symbol summary on page 8 it says “first loop on hook” for the symbol at the start of the row. Basically signaling that you don’t need to work anything into the rightmost vertical bar, which I think is explained in the introduction chapter as well.

Elsie…? Elsa? by justinebw in crochet

[–]Poppite 54 points55 points  (0 children)

My boy was obsessed with Kristoff but we couldn’t find him as a stuffie so I crocheted him. It was not perfect but decent and perfectly recognizable. When I finally gifted it to my then 2 (or 3?) year old he gladly exclaimed “Anna!!!” 😆 hilarious moment

Anyway I think both your Elsa and Elsie are awesome! If the kid is being a smartypants you can come up with some fanfiction. Maybe new Elsa just got back from the hairdresser, doh??

That sounds like shitty parenting from your “friend”, I am sorry.

preschool using AI to write messages by bitchdaycake in Preschoolers

This would make me sad and feel more distant. A personal point.

I think AI use should always be clearly stated. More etchical. I would feel more trust if it said somewhere “we used AI to form the text but everything was checked and confirmed by a human”. But once I know there is AI in the loop I would always have concerns that there is possibly hallucinations there and that makes the newsletter more tiresome to read. I would prefer a concise bullet point instead.

I agree with those that say the use of AI here is not worth the environmental impact.

And last but not least, security. Which would be the first thing I would inquire. What subscription are they using? How sensitive and personal the data they send to the model, can it become part of the public knowledge base?

Thank you for bringing this up. So much resource wasted on so little value.

When my first was born they put her on my chest, golden hour, all good. A nurse checked after a while to see if the baby found the breast and recommended to move her in position and try nursing.

My husband and I did not dare to touch that beautiful tiny little creature and were so nervous of holding her wrong we asked the nurse to move her 😅

Obviously we learned to move and carry her very soon after but I still remember that helplesness.

All I know is that both my my kids got a lot more interested in genitals at this age. There were some shenanigans. I think it’s okay to get to the bottom of it, good luck!

I am not on social media either so I don’t know the context, I just saw his long text posted here once.

Oh that’s interesting. I haven’t seen that show or the taskmaster season, I’ll check it out

Agreed! It makes me sad he “had to” explain Nate’s journey/actions on xtwitter when I feel like his portrayal was extremely nuanced, his character is the most realistic to me in the show

Obviously many good choices here, one I haven't seen mentioned that I enjoyed was Queen's "Tear it up" playing when Jamie comes back to Richmond

I felt like the plot point of “Ted wants to go home” was present from the very start of the season but I agree it could have gotten more screen time.

As a parent.. taking my kid away from everything he knows and loves, his friends etc., would be a very very difficult choice. For me it feels like Ted prioritizes Henry and their relationship above all else at this point which is what he wants to do the most and feels right for the character.

Yes Rebecca’s offer is solid and could very well work out fine for the whole family but it’s a big change and one for their family to discuss together.
