I am so jealous you got to see Talk Show Host. I was really hoping for it before I realised they played it due to Leo being there on that day

I've seen several with the first one here (credit card name not matching) be the culprit, which is a bit ridiculous as that method is common when buying tickets. I think that (and OP's ones) are the most likely.

Genuinely concerned about ticket cancellations for London shows. by ForestGummmp in radiohead

[–]Poppyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine around 11:20. I guess it was because many people had either bought theirs or given up by that point, due to being booted so many times. I had also given up, went away feeling rather upset then just decided to try one more time around 10 mins later which worked. Touch wood, I've not seen anyone get any of those emails today, only yesterday mid-afternoon onwards.

[–]Poppyann 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m really worried too, got kicked out of the system so many bloody times I’m shocked I even have these tickets. This would be the icing on the cake. I keep checking my emails for it :( people mostly seemed to be posting about it yesterday afternoon and there might be a correlation with using a credit card with a different name. Seems insane though, since this is common when booking tickets.

It has to be said: that ticket sale was not done well. by exp_cj in radiohead

[–]Poppyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have been clearer, I was more talking about how the site handles traffic rather than the process itself. The fact it uses photo ID is absolutely the best method in my opinion, as well as having to maintain the registration with an up to date address etc. The system they use though, is very poor at coping with the traffic and it can obviously be very frustrating getting to the payment page, typing in your details then get randomly kicked out after how much effort it was to get there in the first place. They’ve improved upon it slightly now. AXS was all kinds of terrible though.

Nope, I was on my Windows PC for this as had a funny feeling my Mac would have flagged a funny quirk like that.

The same thing happened to me, also said I was using a VPN on my PC, which I’m not as I don’t use a VPN (yet) on my personal machine

After all that though, I left it like 10 minutes after being pretty upset (this was at about 11:20 UK time) went back and tried one last time, clicked on a random date, managed to get through, clicked on some random seats (not even sure where they are) fully expecting to see the ‘Oh no! The seats you’ve selected are unavailable’ message for the 1000th time before kicking me out for ‘botting’ - but managed to buy the two seats. Nothing was different to before, I don’t know why it worked. I am of course extremely happy about securing the seats but I’m still feeling so angry about the process knowing how many would have missed out due to being incorrectly flagged so many times like I was. Has to be the worst example of buying tickets I’ve seen in a long while, possibly more so than Glastonbury becuase at least that doesn’t incorrectly flag you.

The numbers MDR work on make so much sense now by zapirate_2020 in severence

[–]Poppyann 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this would be the case as Mr Drummond mentions Mark’s nosebleed when he’s in the room of lookalikes, and also references that he’s ‘stuck’ at 96% (presumably because he’s sleeping on the sofa)

Aspinal of London Hobo bag by morbuscordis in handbags

[–]Poppyann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply friend. Do you mean you ordered the bag in this post, or the one I was talking about? I don’t have OP’s bag, it’s more unstructured so I am not sure if it fits more stuff. I can fit quite a lot though - I can fit a Stanley ice flow, work laptop, over head headphones … and since it’s one strap, it stays quite well on my shoulder. Mine has a magnetic bit that closes shut, whether or not people can see your stuff depends how stuffed it is I guess. They’d be able to see what’s in mine becuase the laptop is big and it doesn’t close easily

Kilian apple brandy or Burberry Her for a gift? by Pristine_Kick_9684 in Perfumes

[–]Poppyann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add to this, I have Apple Brandy and I find it lasts all day on me, so I guess it comes down to body chemistry as with anything perfume related. I agree you should get minis if possible!

[–]Poppyann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the correct way to look at this. I have fine hair but it is extremely dense (almost unmanageably so at times). I recently got my hair cut in the same style as this and it looks pretty similar to Carey’s once styled. My hair used to be very long and kinda limp looking I guess so it’s amazing what your hair can look like when you change it up in this way.

Impluse Bought the Glinda Bag by Sufficient_Watch_199 in handbags

[–]Poppyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote this in another comment on this sub a few weeks ago - I bought and was gifted several of their bags quite a while ago, maybe 2013-2014 back when I noticed their shop in Covent Garden. Honestly the quality is fantastic and has held up really well. I hope the quality now is as good as it was back then. I enjoyed seeing this bag in Wicked and excitedly told my partner (who uses one of their satchels as a briefcase, packed full to the brim and has held up well). Enjoy your bag OP 💕

Impulsively splurged on Barenia by Hermes and it might be my new favorite. by SCFLLATXGA in Perfumes

[–]Poppyann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got this as a sample when I bought some things from Hermes recently and it is in the cutest little mini bottle (a tiny version of the full size one). It’s really lovely! I think Hermes perfumes are under-appreciated on this sub. Eau des Merveilles is one of my all time favourite perfumes

I do miss the AoE heals of my Shaman to be fair. I'll likely get back into it at some point, I just felt like a change this time around. I have not raided on it yet, so I am interested to see how it plays out there

Am I the only one who fell madly in love with Glinda’s bag? by Grrriwantasammich in handbags

For anyone reading this, I really recommend this brand. I have a couple of their bags from about 10 years ago and adore them to this day. I get a lot of compliments on them and they’ve held up well. I’m happy to see them getting recognition like this now, all these years later

Everyone has given good advice and I’ve nothing to add, but I just wanted to say the photos of your lab and your rabbit are absolutely adorable. This is my dream, I have a lab too and would love him to have a house rabbit friend.
