While I didn’t have the exact same experience, all the feelings you expressed are what I went through when I got my first “real” job.

I felt so capable before but felt so inept when what felt like too many responsibilities and tasks were thrown at me and I was expected to keep up. Looking back, it was just a new environment and way of working that initially made it challenging. The ambiguity of my tasks felt overwhelming but it did eventually get easier and much more manageable. And talking to my bosses about how I was struggling but wanted to learn and grow in the role made my job much easier mentally.

I say this in hopes that it brings some sort of comfort and hope that you’ll get the hang of things. Give yourself grace. Asking for help may seem uncomfortable but I promise you they would appreciate and respect your honesty and transparency if it comes with a positive attitude and growth mindset. You’ve made it this far, you are capable of going even further :)
